Intro
A few days ago, a Qadiani-Ahmadi confronted brother Zeeshan (Smile2Jannah)(check out my interview with him herein) at Speakers Corner and was upset about Zeeshan’s (Smile2Jannah) expose’ of Mirza Masroor Ahmad and his terrible pronunciation of basic Quranic phrases. In the course of this discussion, 2:62 of the Quran was brought up and the Qadiani-Ahmadi said that per the Qadiani-Ahmadi’s, even an atheist could go to heaven. The Qadiani-Ahmadi was corrected by his friend in the video, however, the Qadiani-Ahmadi was presenting the idea that per MGA (and Sir Syed), hell is not permanent, and eventually, per MGA (and Sir Syed), all people (even atheist) will make it to heaven. The Qadiani-Ahmadi doesn’t know that in 1906, MGA wrote that famous letter of Takfir to Dr. Abdul Hakim Khan and said that all people (atheist, christians and etc.) MUST accept MGA. Moreover, in 1935, the 2nd Khalifa published a book and in this book he said the same, i.e., that an atheist can go to heaven in the Qadiani aqida.
In 1917, the Lahori-Ahmadi, Maulvi Muhammad Ali published his commentary on the Quran and under this verse (2:62), he writes that it doesn’t actually mean that Christians and Jews can make it to heaven without belief in Muhammad (Saw) and Allah.

Additional info on this 5-volume commentary
This commentary seems to have been published in 1947 and then again in the 1960’s. Those editions were destroyed by Ahmadiyya leadership.

Mirza Tahir Ahmad clearly comments on 2:62 and tells his questioner that anyone can go to heaven, converting to Ahmadiyya isn’t necessary. _____________________________________________________________________________________________
