Intro
Check out my video on this.
MTA recently released a documentary on the life of Abdul Shakoor, who contravened Pakistani laws and allegedly sold Quran’s with wrong translation (see Ord-XX). The producers of this video are so dishonest, they alleged that simply being an Ahmadi in Pakistan is a serious crime, this is a total lie (4:17 time stamp). They even lied and said that Ahmadi’s can be charged for practicing their cultish beliefs, however, this is a lie. Ord-XX was theoretically passed so that Ahmadi’s would stop selling their lies to average people who need resources (Mirza Tahir Ahmad called it an inside job led by the USA). Furthermore, Mirza Tahir Ahmad purposely got it passed so that he could get asylum in the UK, and so that 1000’s of Ahmadi’s could also get asylum in the UK, Germany, Canada, the USA and many other countries. In fact, Mirza Tahir Ahmad purposely told Ahmadi’s to wear Kalima badges and thus start trouble. Abdul Shakoor even lied and said Ahmadi’s can’t pray salah, that is an outlandish lie, Ahmadi’s can pray in their temples or in their homes. This has never been stopped! They even lie about saying “Asalamo Alaikum”, they hide that Ahmadi’s have duped many Muslims by using the islamic greeting and thus were stopped.

Nevertheless, the story is as follows, Shakoor was going back and forth from Pakistan to the UK (Cambridge) since 1988. He alleges that he had been going back and forth every 3-4 years.
He was convicted of 5 crimes in Pakistan, been to 4 prisons, and once went to prison for wearing the Ahmadi ring with a verse of the Quran on it. However, after this incident, per the order of Mirza Masroor Ahmad, he isn’t allowed to visit Pakistan ever again.

He seems to have had an optical shop (basically reading glasses or normal glasses) wherein he sold reading glasses and normal glasses in Sarghoda, however, he didn’t explain how he got the business. He was allowed to open a shop in Rabwah. He alleges that he observed the eyesight of Nusrat Jehan Begum and made glasses for her. He did the same for her son, Mirza Basheer ud Din Mahmud Ahmad when he was Khalifa. On Dec-2-2015, his optical shop was raided after Abdul Shakoor sold Ahmadi books to undercover agents who purchased Ahmadi books (Counter Terrorism Department, CTD). It seems that he began travelling back and forth from the UK to Rabwah and was selling illegal Ahmadi books from his optical shop in Rabwah. The police and anti-terrorism task force must have been alerted and they subsequently made the arrest. In fact, Shakoor alleges that they punched him and tried to show him what MGA wrote. Shakoor responded that MGA only wrote the names of Allah and his messengers.

Abdul Shakoor is sooo clueless, he didn’t even know who Donald Trump is, or that he was the President of the USA. Nevertheless, Abdul Shakoor met him in 2019, after the Ahmadiyya Movement manipulated politicians like Johnnie Moore and others. This was reported by Ehsan Ahmad and (founder and editor of Rabwah Times) back in 2019. The Ahmadiyya Movement even had Johnnie Moore make inaccurate statements about Ahmadi’s in Pakistan. Johnnie Moore lied and alleged that Ahmadi’s could go to jail for what they believe, a total lie! When Abdul Shakoor spoke to Trump, it was scripted, he alleged that Ahmadi homes and shops were looted in Sep-1974 and set on fire. He said his shop was in Sarghoda until Sep-1974, wherein he moved to Rabwah. He opened a new shop in Rabwah thereafter. He admits that he went to jail for selling books (his interpreter was the son of the famous Salman Taseer). He alleges that Ahmadiyya is peaceful. This was all a publicity stunt. He alleges that Ahmadi’s have never done any violence or anything to anyone in Pakistan.

Interesting, his son-in-law and grandson commented on his qualities, however, they neglected to tell if Abdul Shakoor was keen of reading books. Specifically, did he understand the claims of MGA? In fact, when he was in police custody he alleges that police officials punched him and asked him to read the books of MGA. He doesn’t even remember what book of MGA it was.Ayyaz Mahmood is such a pompas idiot, he thinks that if people read the books of MGA, they will convert in Pakistan. What about America? The Uk?

Shakoor boasted that even now he is ready to die for Ahmadiyyat. He seems eager!
His daughter (Amtul Wali) visited him in jail. Shakoor said that every time a messenger from Allah comes, his people are persecuted and this is what happened. He seems eager to be persecuted. Shakoor admits that he was selling Ahmadi books. He is so clue-less, he doesn’t even know that it’s a crime. He says that they have been sold for 100+ years. Shakoor alleged that Ahmadiyya books are “peaceful religious books”. He even admitted to selling Ahmadi Quran’s and other Ahmadi literature by poets. Shakoor says that the courts are afraid of the Maulvi’s! However, per the order of Maulvi Mirza Masroor Ahmad, Shakoor won’t return to Pakistan. Abdul Shakoor says that when he walked into court, the judge was his old friend. Shakoor was given 5 years in jail and a 600k rupee fine. It was really like 8-9 years, his assistant, a man named Mazhar was given 5 years.

While he was in prison, his lawyer kept filing appeals. He wrote letters to Masroor while in prison. There were huge levels of international pressure on the Pakistani government. Thus, Shakoor was released on March 18, 2018.

Khalil Yousaf, lawyer in the UK, provided legal support to the UNHCR

He complained about a speedy trial. However, in the USA, this is a legal right. And Shakoor clearly broke the law. He was also mad that the witnesses were the police. He didn’t mention who the lawyer was. He is mad that anti-terrorism laws were used against Shakoor. Khalil Yousaf alleged that Shakoor was arrested simply for the possession of Ahmadi books (a lie). Khalil Yousaf called the decision as “politically motivated” (a total lie).

Nadine says that the Ahmadiyya Movement has never incited any violence in Pakistan and it is only Love For All, Hatred For None. Ahmadi editors tried to make it look like Irfan Burq is a terrorist. Irfan Burq asked for the death penalty. She even complained about the police who testified against Shakoor. She even said that Shakoor doesn’t look like a terrorist, neither does Obama or Trump, or George Washington. Nadine alleged that since the government of Pakistan was embarrassed by this siutation, they were forced by international pressure to release Abdul Shakoor.

U.S. President Trump meets freed Pakistani Ahmadi

U.S. President Trump on Wednesday met with a Pakistani Ahmadi man who spent three years in prison for his Ahmadiyya beliefs.

Pakistanis Abdul Shukoor and Shaan Taseer were two of the 27 participants in the Oval Office meeting with President Trump. During the brief interaction 83 year old Abdul Shukoor prayed for President Trump and said:

“I pray that may Allah reward you, protect you and give you a long life”

“I can call myself a Muslim in the United States but not in Pakistan, otherwise I will be punished”

“We (Ahmadis) were declared non-Muslim in 1974, our shops and houses were looted and many houses were burnt down, I then relocated to Rabwah along with kids, where I had a shop selling books, and was given a 5 year sentence and a 600,000 PKR fine, now I have been released after three years”

Responding to Shukoor’s comments President Trump said:

“So you see the world is a tough place, and we are making strides and we are making some good strides”

The American administration under U.S. President Donald Trump has made religious freedom a centerpiece of its foreign policy.

An 82-year-old Muslim prisoner of conscience in Pakistan who was supported by Trump evangelical adviser Johnnie Moore has been freed after three years imprisonment for blasphemy.

Ahmadiyya Muslim Abdul Shakoor was released from prison Monday after a high court in Punjab reduced his eight-year sentence for the alleged crime of selling commentary on his Ahmadiyya religious beliefs.

As adherents to a minority sect of Islam that promotes peace and tolerance, Ahmadis face severe persecution in Pakistan, which is about 97 percent Sunni Muslim. Pakistan’s constitution even declares Ahmadis to be non-Muslims and the country’s penal code prevents Ahmadis from claiming that they are Muslims.

Shakoor, the Indian-born manager of a bookshop and optician store in the Punjab province, was arrested on Dec. 5, 2015, after officials from the Punjab police and Pakistan’s Elite Force raided Shakoor’s bookshop. He was taken along with the store’s assistant, Mazhar Abbas. He was accused of selling Ahmadiyya commentary on the Quran.

At Shakoor’s trial, officers who raided the bookstore were the only witnesses. Prosecutors alleged that a letter from the Ahmadiyya director of public affairs was sent to Shakoor days earlier telling him that selling Ahmadiyya literature had been banned.

According to the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom, Ahmadiyya leaders have said that the prosecution fabricated the letter to support their argument in Shakoor’s case. Ahmadiyya leaders even noted that the ban on literature in question in the case didn’t even go into effect until Jan. 20, 2016, after the trial had concluded.

Throughout, Shakoor maintained that he didn’t distribute Ahmadiya literature but admitted to possessing the literature. However, possession of Ahmadiyya literature is not a crime in Pakistan.

Last year, USCIRF Commissioner Johnnie Moore, an evangelical communications executive who has long advocated for persecuted believers overseas, adopted Shakoor as part of USCIRF’s Religious Prisoners of Conscience Project.

Johnnie Moore receives 'medal of valor' from the Simon Wiesenthal Center.
Johnnie Moore receives “medal of valor” from the Simon Wiesenthal Center.

The project was launched in 2017 to fulfill a congressional requirement mandated by the Frank Wolf International Religious Freedom Act of 2016 for USCIRF to list names of prisoners of conscience. Through the project, each USCIRF commissioner adopts a prisoner of conscience that they personally advocate for.

“Abdul Shakoor’s release comes as welcome news to those of us who have been engaging with Pakistan’s government and civil society on issues related to religious freedom and peaceful coexistence between religious communities,” Moore said in a statement. “We hope and pray this once again becomes the trend in Pakistani society, and no longer the exception.”

As Moore noted, Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan declared last month at the World Government Summit in Dubai that he has a desire to reform Pakistan.

“He remembered a more pluralistic Pakistan of his youth, and he professed his desire to have a society that protected humanity, embraced the rule of law, and saw knowledge as a sacred duty,” Moore stressed
