In Barahin-i-Ahmadiyya vol. 4, MGA seems to have agreed with the miracle of the people of the cave. It’s a quranic story from Quran (18:9–26). This was via a revelation that MGA received. In this revelation, it seems that MGA’s god was telling him that the story of Ashab-e-Kahf was “one of the wonders (Ajooba or Ajaba) of Allah, MGA was also calling himself as the second coming of Ibrahim (as) (astagfarullah).

In BA-4, MGA had left Islam as he denied the miracles of Eisa (as) and was claiming prophethood and was thus called a Kafir by his own sect, the Ahl-e-Hadith. The Quranic story of Ashab-e-Kahf comes from previous accounts by Greeks and Christians, it is also called, the story of the seven sleepers. Allah authenticated these stories in the Quran. As we peruse the writings of MGA, we only see how MGA agreed that this entire story was a miracle of Allah, and amongst the secrets of Allah. Even after MGA died, in the BA5 it is written as a wonder/secret of Allah. In 1917, in Muhammad Ali’s famous commentary on the Quran, he claimed that this 300-year period wasn’t actually the amount of years that these “people of the save” slept, instead it was a metaphor which pointed towards the 300 years that Christians were persecuted before they became triumphant. In 1988, the Qadiani-Ahmadi’s totally copied Muhammad Ali’s explanation from 1917.

In BA4, MGA claims that the incident of the “People of the Cave” was one of Allah’s wonders/miracles. In the below, we present a revelation that MGA presented, MGA then gave commentary as follows:

“””Meaning that, follow the true path of the Noble Messengersaw which is no longer clearly recognized by many people in this age—some of them have become slaves of the letter like the Jews while some others have indulged in the worship of creatures, like the polytheists. They should enquire about this path from this humble servant of the Benevolent God and should tread upon it.

The english translation of MGA’s revelation
“””And they will say: ‘This is a falsehood that he has invented. We have not heard of any such thing among our elders, that is, among the auliya’ of past.’ The fact is that all children of Adam
[Adam] have not been created equal; God has exalted some of them above others and has chosen them from among others. This indeed is the truth, so that it might be a Sign for the believers. Do you imagine that Our wonders are confined to Ashabe-Kahf [the People of the Cave] only? No, rather, Allah possesses wonders since eternity and His wonders never come to an end. Everyday He is in a magnificent state. Thus, We taught those Signs to Sulaiman [Solomon], meaning my humble self. People denied them wrongfully, though their hearts believed [in them]. So, We shall soon strike terror in their hearts. Say, Light has descended from Allah, so do not reject it if you are believers. Peace be on Ibrahim. We purified him and delivered him from grief. We Ourself have done this; therefore you should follow in the footsteps of Ibrahim”””


In Chashma-e-Masihi (Fountain of Christianity), MGA writes that there is no harm in believing this incident to be a miracle.

Via Haqiqatul Wahy, MGA claimed that he would be protected like the People of the Cave were and even quoted the relevant verses.

In BA5, MGA claimed that Allah did keep the “People of the Cave” asleep for 200 years.

The leader of the Lahori-Ahmadi’s (Muhammad Ali) publishes his commentary of the Quran, in it he asserts that the “People of the Cave”, signified the 300 years that it took for Christianity to emerge as a global power, and not 7 people who slept for 300 years and woke up and lived their lives.

In the Khalifa’s commentary on the Quran, he called the story of the cave as a miracle. See the scan in the below.



In Malik Ghulam Farid’s famous 5-volume commentary of the Quran, he copies Muhammad Ali and also asserts the “People of the Cave”, signified the 300 years that it took for Christianity to emerge as a global power, and not 7 people who slept for 300 years and woke up and lived their lives.
