Intro
He was the son of Mir Muhammad Ishaq (brother-in-law of MGA) and born on 2 August 1924 at Qadian. His nikah took place in 1945 with the daughter of Mirza Bashiruddin Mahmud Ahmad, Amatul Basit Begum (sister of Mirza Tahir Ahmad). He never worked a day in his life, he worked for the Mirza family in many capacities until his death in 1973 at Rabwah.

After returning from England, Syed Mir Daud Ahmad served in Wakalat-e-Diwan of Tahrik-e-Jadid for 6 months, then he served for some time in Wakalat-e-Tabshir’s English translation section.

On 1 July 1957, when Mirza Bashiruddin Mahmud Ahmad affiliated Jamia Ahmadiyya with Jamiatul Mubashireen, he appointed Syed Mir Daud Ahmad as its principal.

1960–1967

He served as the Managing Editor of the Review of Religions (English), from 10 February 1960 to 6 December 1967.

In Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya Markaziyyah, he served in various capacities, such as Mohtamim Maal (1950-51), Mohtamim Waqar-e-Amal (1952-53), Motamid Majlis and Mohtamim Khidmat-e-Khalq (1953-1960). Then he served as the Sadr Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya Markaziyyah from 1960-1962, and Mohtamim Khidmat-e-Khalq as well. From 1963-1965, he served as Mohtamim Umumi and Mohtamim Sanat-o-Tijarat.

In 1963, he was appointed as the Afsar Jalsa Salana, and he served at this post until his demise.

In 1963, he was appointed as Naib Nazir Khidmat-e-Darweshan, and in 1966, he was appointed as Nazir Khidmat-e-Darweshan.
