Intro
Pervez Hoodbhoy (was born as a deviant, an Agha Khan Shia/ Gujarati Khoja, see his 2016 interview)) is the reason that why Quaid-i-Azam University‘s Physics Department is named after Dr. Abdus Salam (a traitor to Pakistan). Dr. Salam seemed to be his mentor starting in 1984. Pervez Hoodbhoy also told the world that Dr. Salam was fond of beautiful women, favored people from Ahmadi families (he wanted Ahmadi’s in positions of power) and famously drank alcohol (35:30 time stamp) and was thus totally immersed in European culture. It should also be noted that Dr. Salam’s colleague Steven Weinberg told the very famous Richard Dawkins that when he first met Dr. Salam in 1961-1962 at Imperial College in London, Dr. Salam kept a bottle of “scotch” in his office in his desk drawer and thus drank alcohol with his colleagues in their offices at Imperial College.
Interestingly, Pervez Hoodbhoy totally avoided how the Government of Pakistan was going communistic under Bhutto in the early 1970’s and how they wanted a nuclear weapon, not Nuclear energy to be converted into electricity. Thus, Dr. Abdus Salam was against Pakistan acquiring a nuclear weapon and switching sides and joining the Russians, which is exactly what happened in Afghanistan and Iran a few years later in 1979.
In this video, Dr. Abdus Salam is interviewed by Pervez Hoodbhoy. The youtube channel alleges that it is from 1989, however, it seems like 1988. Dr. Abdus Salam can be seen as slow (Like Muhammad Ali in his later years), however, he isn’t a mute yet.
In 1991, Dr. Abdus Salam wrote the preface to Pervez Hoodbhoy’s famous book “Islam & Science: Religious Orthodoxy and the Battle for Rationality”, published by ZED Books, London, in 1991 with translations in Turkish, Malaysian, Indonesian, Arabic, Spanish, Sindhi, and Urdu.
