Intro
In Aug-2025, Aima Baig married Mirza Zain Ahmad (check out my youtube video), who is a great-grand-son of Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (who claimed to be the second coming of prophet Muhammad PBUH)(via twitter and facebook, TikTok, Rabwah Times and many shorts on youtube and TikToks. In 2018, Zain Ahmed co-founded Rastah (Instagram handle is zainoo_95), a Lahore-based streetwear brand (which has totally failed by 2025). The initial investments seem to have come from his Ahmadi relatives or via an Ahmadi inheritance. Mirza Zain Ahmad grew up in London, Toronto, Vancouver and Lahore. Also see photo’s of Mirza Zain Ahmad drinking and partying with white girls from 2019-2024 in the below. Also, another strange twist with this story is that Mubasher Lucman is the uncle of Aima Baig and thus, there are lots of connections to Qadiani-Ahmadi’s and Lahori-Ahmadi’s. Who is the mother of Mirza Zain Ahmad? We think it might be Amtul Wakeel Ahmad, who was kicked out of Ahmadiyya in 2021.

Back in Jan-2025, Ahmadi’s in the Islam/Ahmadiyya reddit forum were discussing Mirza Zain Ahmad and how he is the great-great-grandson of Mirza Ghulam Ahmad and is currently committing public zina with Aima Baig via a boyfriend/girlfriend situationship. The father of Mirza Zain Ahmad is Mirza Mahmood Ahmad (@MirzaMahmood65)(born in 1965), and Mirza Anas Ahmad is the grandfather. Mirza Zain Ahmad is the great grandson of the Third Khalifa – Mirza Nasir Ahmad. His maternal line has a connection with Mirza Sultan Ahmad – the eldest son of Mirza Ghulam Ahmad. He is also the maternal great-grandson of Mirza Basheer ud Din Mahmud Ahmad. All of these Mirzai intermarried into their cousins for 3-4 generations. Nevertheless, he is a grandson of multiple Khalifa’s.

There are other great-great grand-children of MGA who are singers/rappers in the USA and are totally irreligious like Moe Vision and Caller18 aka Marium Ahmad. We have also found Khan Adnan, who is also a pseudo musician and alleges that MGA had revelations about him, his maternal grandfather is Mirza Hafeez Ahmad.

Zain and Aima Baig have reportedly been in a relationship for some time. They often post pictures of their international trips, parties, and hangouts together. I genuinely wish them well and happiness in the future. While the couple appears charming and happy, this situation raises questions about the apparent double standards within the Jama’at. It seems that strict rules are often imposed on less prominent or economically disadvantaged members, while exceptions are made for influential or well-known individuals. These exceptions specifically pertain to rules that are otherwise permissible in Islam but are prohibited within the Jama’at, such as marrying outside of the Jama’at or having tattoos.

In 2020, Creative Director Zain Ahmad and esteemed block printer and Rastah team member – Aslam Mirza, discuss the state of artisanship in Pakistan, how the two first met, challenges the brand has faced, and the need for innovative design practices in fashion vis-a-vis artisanship.

Everyone should have the freedom to live their life as they wish, and if Mirza Zain Ahmad is enjoying that freedom and finding success, I’m genuinely happy for him on a personal level. But let’s not ignore the bigger issue here: the blatant double standards at play.

Since the era of KM2, the Jama’at has pushed the narrative of the “noble family” of the Promised Messiah. This has been used to justify why every Khalifa comes from the same bloodline. The story goes that just as the lineage of Abraham was noble; producing significant prophets like Ismael, Yaqoob, Daud, Musa, Isa, and Muhammad; the bloodline of the Promised Messiah is equally noble, making it unsurprising that all Khalifas are chosen from it. Asif Mahmood Basit even emphasized this narrative in his interview with Declan Henry. For those who haven’t seen the video, here’s the link.

Moreover, historical accounts tell us that MGA’s family was almost penniless after his death. KM1 decided that part of the chanda funds would be used to financially support MGA’s family. However, since KM2, we’ve seen zero transparency about where the Jama’at’s money goes. What we do know, based on sources shared by contributors like u/OUTSIDE_THE_BOXX, is that funds from initiatives like the “blessed” Tehrik-e-Jadid have been funneled into businesses owned by the Mirza family. For details, check out this post on the subreddit: Tehrik-e-Jadid and its Businesses.

The reality is, ordinary Ahmadis are the cash cows for this “noble” royal family, financing their lavish lifestyles. No doubt, Mirza Zain Ahmad built a globally recognized brand with creativity and hard work. But let’s not pretend that success in Pakistan doesn’t come easier when you already have money, connections, and a network. If you look at his older Instagram posts, you’ll notice he attended elite private schools and universities. From first-hand accounts, we know that many members of the Mirza family attend Ivy League schools. It’s obvious that these opportunities were made possible through the countless donations made by us and our ancestors. And let’s be real: those Ivy League networks undoubtedly help when starting a successful business.

Meanwhile, our families are essentially the minions of this clan, obediently following the beloved Khalifa’s commands on how to live, dress, express sexuality, and marry only within the Jama’at to produce more potential chanda payers. On the other hand, there’s an elite circle that’s completely exempt from these restrictions. Public shaming and humiliation are reserved for the masses at the bottom, while the “blessed” Mirza family enjoys lives of luxury, funded by chanda, with the freedom to live as they please: something every Ahmadi deserves but only they seem to have.

Not to be THAT person, and I mean this with zero disrespect, but I’m genuinely confused. If Mirza Zain Ahmad is from an Ahmadi family, how is his marriage with Aima Baig religiously valid? From what I understand, mainstream Islam doesn’t permit Muslims to marry Ahmadis. Right?

it is an expulsion letter for those who married out of their religion and who participated in those nikah ceremonies.

But I got a strange feedback in which not only some Ahmadis expressed their displeasure, but the opponents of Ahmadis also questioned my faith and once again I had to be accused of being Ahmadis. After reading the host, an Ahmadis friend sent a message in which he Wrote that “Ahmadi opposition is not good on everything”. I didn’t answer.
Today one of my BA classmate who is now affiliated with the Lawyer called me and said non-stop that after reading host on Ahmadiyas, I had called you before, which you did not listen and now I am calling again. I asked the sir. What did you feel after reading the host, then you start saying that you have congratulated them and have written the tree of Zain along with it and it seems that you have sympathy with the Ahmadis or you are Ahmadis yourself!
Questions and expression of displeasure from both parties is the sign of a neutral writer! You keep doing your job, we will keep burning the candle of our part somehow.
And yes, a comment was also of my former colleague journalist Saad Sarfraz Sheikh who pointed out the irresponsibility of the host that such information can be dangerous to the life of a newly married couple. I gave no reply to the post, but here. I think it is appropriate to give an explanation. Saad Sahib Ahmadis do not have interfaith marriages and if an ordinary Ahmadis marries, he is given severe punishments such as boycott and expulsion, whereas the members of his “royal family” do such things easily and their Nothing happens together, so I thought it appropriate to convey this information to some constituencies. I am copying a letter of your opinion, have a look at it. Thank you

Aima Baig and Zain Ahmed spark dating rumours after social media posts

Pakistani singer Aima Baig has found herself at the centre of new dating rumours involving Zain Ahmad, the owner of the fashion brand ‘Rastah’.

Speculation arose after the singer shared several pictures with Zain on her Instagram stories.

Zain Ahmed co-founded Rastah, a Lahore-based streetwear brand, in 2018.

The label focuses on sustainable and artisanal fashion, with its products designed, sourced, and crafted by local artisans in Pakistan in limited runs.

Rastah has gained international attention, with features in Vogue and its clothing worn by notable figures such as Bollywood producer Karan Johar, rapper French Montana, and Oscar-winning actor Riz Ahmed.

Aima, who has previously been in the news for her public breakup with actor Shahbaz Shigri, has remained a popular figure in the media.

Following their engagement ending in 2022, she faced criticism and was involved in a public spat with fellow artist Sahir Ali Bagga.

Recently, her bold fashion choices have also drawn attention.

The latest rumours about her dating Zain Ahmad began circulating when the two were spotted together at various events.

Fans noticed Aima Baig leaving affectionate comments on Zain Ahmad’s social media posts, fuelling further speculation about their relationship.

Despite the growing buzz, neither Aima Baig nor Zain Ahmad have confirmed or denied the reports.

The singer remains tight-lipped, while fans continue to wonder if the two are romantically involved.

Previously, Aima Baig had been engaged to Shahbaz Shigri, with their relationship beginning during the filming of Parey Hut Love.

The couple called off their engagement in September 2022.

Breaking Norms: Zain Ahmad Marries Aima Baig

The intimate marriage of Pakistani singer Aima Baig to Zain Ahmad, founder of the fashion label Rastah, has sparked conversations about interfaith unions and Ahmadi identity in Pakistan, where the Ahmadiyya community faces systemic discrimination and societal restrictions.

Zain Ahmad, born and raised in an Ahmadi household, tied the knot with Baig in an intimate Nikah ceremony in Canada. The announcement, accompanied by heartfelt photos and captions on Instagram, was met with widespread support from fans and celebrities alike. However, among Ahmadis, the marriage is being hailed as a groundbreaking step, challenging long-standing traditions and taboos.

Marriage Breaking Barriers

Ahmadis, a minority religious group in Pakistan, face significant legal and social restrictions, including limitations on their religious practices and personal freedoms. Historically, Ahmadi youth have been required to seek community permission to marry individuals of other sects, be it Sunni, Shia, or other faiths.

“This is refreshing to see,” said a Rabwah resident and Ahmadi youth. “A successful marriage is more important than the faith of the person. A genuine connection matters more than marrying someone solely based on religion, which can lead to failed relationships and single-parent situations.”

Zain’s marriage to a pop star like Aima Baig is seen as a trendsetter for Ahmadi youth, offering a glimpse of freedom in choosing life partners. For many in Rabwah, this is the first modern-day marriage of someone they can relate to—a union defying odds and societal norms.

Ahmadi Rights Advocate

Zain Ahmad has long been vocal about Ahmadi rights. In 2014, he criticized Pakistani cleric Tahir Ashrafi in a tweet for making “false accusations” against Ahmadi beliefs, standing against the widespread misinformation targeting his community.

Despite systemic discrimination, Zain has maintained ties to Rabwah, where his extended family resides. He continues to visit and celebrate Eid with the community, even as Pakistan imposes increasing restrictions on Ahmadi religious practices.

Restrictions on Ahmadis During Eid

This year, Amnesty International reported that Ahmadis were prohibited from celebrating Eid-ul-Adha in several districts across Pakistan. Affidavits required them to refrain from purchasing animals or performing the customary sacrificial rites. Violations carried fines of up to PKR 500,000 ($1,765) or legal sanctions.

In some areas, district commissioners issued notices directing police to prevent Ahmadis from offering Eid prayers, often at the behest of extremist groups like Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP). Preventive detention orders were also issued to stop Ahmadis from participating in Eid activities.

An Ahmadi in Chiniot was reportedly detained for attempting to purchase a sacrificial animal, highlighting the ongoing challenges faced by the community.
