Intro
He was the son of Dr. Mir Mushtaq Ahmad and Bilqis Ahmad. He was married to Amatul Baseer, daughter of Abdur Rahim Ahmad. He is a maternal grandson of the 2nd Qadiani-Ahmadi Khalifa, the famous Mirza Basheer ud Did Mahmud Ahmad.
In 1943, he was born at Qadian.
In the 1970′s, Dr. Mir Daud Ahmad graduated from the Engineering & Technology University, Lahore, after which he moved to the US.
In the 1980’s, in the USA, he completed his PhD and began working at the World Bank and continued to for 35 years. He carried out excellent work around the world in bettering international relations, particularly in Asia (China).
In the 1990’s, Mirza Tahir Ahmad read out his daughter’s (Attiya Tul Hadi Shaima Ahmad) Nikkah with Mirza Salman Ahmad, son of Mirza Hanif Ahmad.
Interestingly, the Ahmadiyya connection to the World Bank via Mirza Muzaffar Ahmad is also in play in the life of Dr. Mir Daud Ahmad. Shukoor Ahmed alleged that his mentor Dr. Mir Daud Ahmad worked with various World Bank projects worldwide. Dr. Mir Daud Ahmad also served as the National Property Secretary (USA) for many years, he played a pivotal role in the construction of numerous Ahmadiyya temples.
In 2024, he died and was eulogized on LinkedIn by a schmoozer/failed politician/con man named Shukoor Ahmed.

Dr. Mir Daud Ahmad Sahib was not just a cherished friend and mentor but also a stalwart in our faith community, leaving an indelible mark on global development through his involvement in various World Bank projects worldwide. Serving as the National Property Secretary for many years, he played a pivotal role in the construction of numerous mosques, thus significantly impacting our community’s infrastructure.
I had the honor of sharing a profound relationship with Dr. Mir Daud Ahmad Sahib over the past two decades, especially in my entrepreneurial journey. In 2005, during a critical phase of scaling up our consulting practice, his generous support through a strategic investment propelled our company forward. Moreover, in 2011, when our company faced immense challenges transitioning from a consulting to a product-based company and experienced substantial losses, his timely intervention and unwavering support helped us navigate through a perilous period when traditional financial institutions were reluctant to extend credit. Dr. Mir Daud Ahmad Sahib took an enormous risk, preventing our company from bankruptcy and allowing us to survive and thrive.
His wisdom, guidance, and steadfast support have been instrumental in shaping my entrepreneurial path, drawing from his wealth of experience, particularly in emerging markets. Dr. Mir Daud Ahmad Sahib’s legacy of service, mentorship, and compassion continues to inspire not just me but also many in our circle of friends. His passing leaves a profound void, yet his contributions will endure, benefiting generations to come.
