I bumped into an #ahmadi on twitter who claims that Tuwaffa and Tawaffa mean different things in the quran. This is incorrect, zairs and zubbers don’t drastically change the meanings of any Quranic words, it is the context which changes meanings, not pronunciation. MGA never made this argument, nor did any Ahmadi scholar, or we haven’t found those references yet. Also read here how Imam Malik and Ibn Abbas may have believed that Esa (As) died and then was physically lifted to heaven and will physically return, Ghamidi also seems to agree with this view. The Ahmadi view is that Esa (as) died 90 years after the event of crucifixtion and thus doesn’t fit.
