Intro
Seth Abu Bakr (also spelled as Seth Abu Bakr Yusuf) of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia and living in Hyderabad-Deccan, Central India (from roughly 1870-1945) in Ahmadiyya history. In 1901, his son [Mir Muhammad Saeed (also spelled Mir Muhammad Sa’id)] is mentioned as someone who donated towards the construction of the Minaratul Masih.
In 1926, the 2nd Khalifa (Mirza Basheer ud Din Mahmud Ahmad), married his daughter (Aziza Begum)(See Fazl-e-Omar, online english edition, pages 220-221). Azizah Beghum and the 2nd Khalifa only had 2 sons, Mirza Wasim Ahmad and Mirza Naeem Ahmad, these were 2 kids out of 23 children that the 2nd Khalifa had, with his 7 wives.
Seith Abu Bakr Yousaf was thus the maternal grandfather of Mirza Wasim Ahmad and Mirza Naeem Ahmad, who both seem to have been born in the 1920’s and 1930’s. Thus, he was an important figure with the Qadiani’s and had access to the 2nd Khalifa’s houses at Qadian. He goes missing in the history of Ahmadiyya after 1926. His maternal grandsons were born in the 1920’s and 1930’s at Qadian (Mirza Wasim Ahmad and Mirza Naeem Ahmad), you would think he would have been back and forth to visit them. He may have been dead by 1947.
