Intro
Per Ahmadiyya sources, in roughly 2006, after the manager of the Ahmadiyya printing press was in jail and the publisher of Al-Fazl had charges against him (banned by Ord-XX in 1984). Tahir Mahdi (his full name is Tahir Ahmad Imtiaz Warraich) was made an official employee of the Mirza family. The Mirza family knew that he would get arrested, since he operated the Ahmadiyya press in Lahore and illegally published many books of MGA and other Ahmadi writers. It is unclear what job Tahir Mahdi was doing previous to this appointment. However, at roughly 45 years old, he was made the printer, publisher and manager of Al-Fazl. Tahir Mahdi was promised asylum in the West too! Thus, Tahir Mahdi knew he was going to be arrested and did it anyways! It seems like Tahir Mahdi was a citizen of the UK and ordered to go to Pakistan and take up this work.
9 years later, in 2015, Tahir Mahdi was accused of publishing Al-Fazl and Ansarullah newspapers and MGA’s book, “Noah’s Ark”. In fact, Tahir Mahdi was told that if he was ever accused he should admit to it. Furthermore, he knew that this was against the law! Thus, Tahir Mahdi was charged with 295 A-B and C (C carried the death penalty). Tahir Mahdi alleges that he went to court on these charges and was jailed. He was taken to Millat Park Police Station in Lahore.
While in jail, after meeting his daughter, he was happy and laughing and asked his daughter to speak to Mirza Masroor Ahmad.
Tahir Mahdi admitted that his food was hand delivered from Rabwah and it was expensive food and all the inmates loved him for sharing this tasty food. Darul Ziafat would send curries, 25-30 roti’s/parate’s every single day! He also got Chicken Roast and “Karahi”.
In 2016, his daughter met with Mirza Masroor Ahmad 5-7 times in London. Mirza Masroor Ahmad admitted that he was arrested since verses of the Quran appeared on the Al-Fazl magazine (which Ahmadi’s know is illegal). Mirza Masroor Ahmad kept telling the family of Tahir Mahdi that he would be removed from jail soon. His son-in-law and daughter proudly boasted about their father’s arrest. His son-in-law even reported that his Muslim friends told Ahmadi’s to stop breaking the law!
In 2017, he is released from jail and still has some court dates. As he came out of court one day, he was stopped by Muslims, however, an Ahmadi pulled out a gun and made them step back, at which point the Ahmadi’s escaped. Since Tahir Mahdi was a UK citizen, he immediately boarded a flight and left Pakistan for the UK. He was allowed to move to Tilford and live in close proximity to Mirza Masroor Ahmad.
