Intro
In 1892-1893, via “Ainah Kamalate Islam” (see pages 84-85), MGA and his team of writers alleged that via 8:17 of the Quran (8:18 in the Kadiani Koran):
1–At this stage of liqa, a person sometimes performs certain actions which appear to be beyond human capacity and possess the nature of Divine power.
2–Muhammad (Saw) threw a handful of pebbles at the enemy during the Battle of Badr, not with any prayer but only with his spiritual power. But that handful of pebbles manifested the power of God and affected the opposing army in such an extraordinary manner that not a single one of them was left whose eye was not affected. They were rendered like the blind and were overpowered by such alarm and fright that they fled like the bewildered.
In 1896, via “Philosophy of the Teachings of Islam” (see page 130), MGA quoted 8:17 of the Quran (8:18 in the Kadiani Koran) and alleged that the meaning it was not thou who didst throw, but it was Allah Who threw. In short, at this stage there is perfect union with God and His holy Will pervades the soul thoroughly, and the moral power that had previously been weak becomes firm like a mountain and reason and intelligence are sharpened to the extreme.
In 1900, via Arba’in, MGA quotes 53:3, 53:4, 53:5 (53:4, 53:5 and 53:6 in the Qadiani Quran) and alleges that he has the Holy Spirit (Ruhul-Qudus) with him and other angels (page 26).
In 1905, via Al-Hakam, MGA and his team of writers quoted 53:3 of the Quran (53:4 in the Kadiani Koran) and alleged that Muhammad (saw) had achieved the rank of Hujjatullah (Proofs of Allah) and Allah had become his limbs (naozobillah). MGA argued that Muhammad’s (Saw) every motion, or lack thereof, was with Allah’s permission and command (See Al-Hakam, vol. 9, no. 25, p. 10, 11, dated 17 July 1905, Via Malfuzat-7, online English edition, page 525).
In 1906-1907, via “Haqiqatul Wahi” MGA alleges that men can become like God by gaining the attributes of Allah (See page 24).

In 1917, via Maulvi Muhammad Ali and the Lahori-Ahmadi’s, he doubted the fact that Muhammad (Saw) even threw the pebbles. Ironically, Maulvi Muhammad Ali says it’s possible that Muhammad (Saw) threw the sand. He wrote nothing about reaching a specific stage of liqa wherein a person can perform certain actions which appear to be beyond human capacity and possess the nature of Divine power. He also wrote nothing about whether Allah performed the above action or Muhammad (Saw). He also wrote nothing about Muslim’s using “spiritual-power” to throw pebbles of sand or anything else.
In the 1960’s, it is unknown what Mirza Basheer ud Din Mahmud Ahmad wrote in “Tafseer-e-Kabeer” or even “Tafseer-e-Sagheer”.
In 1988, or in a later edition of the official 5-volume commentary of the Koran they don’t mention the staged of Liqa and how it leads to Allah taking control of someone’s body.
In 2013, Mirza Masroor Ahmad said the same thing.
In 2024, Khurram Shah made the same arguments.
In Dec-2025, Dr. Bilal Rana gave a speech at the #WCJS25 #WCJS2025 #WestCoastJalsa on “Khilafat, the living reflection of Divine Unity”, he was introduced as the “Naib Ameer Jamaat USA” (1:34:27 time stamp). Bilal Rana alleged that Khilafat is in the Kalima. Bilal Rana alleges that Ahmadi’s can become Allah metaphorically (hands, feet and tongue is under Allah’s control)(See A’ina Kamalat i Islam, online English edition, pages 79-88)(See also MGA’s violation of Tauheed herein). Bilal Rana was quoting 8:17 of the Quran (8:18 in the Kadiani Koran). In Dec-2024, Khurram Shah alleged that MGA was teaching Ahmadi’s how to become God (see 40:23 time stamp to hear it in real time) in “A’ina-e-Kamalat-e-Islam”, (Naozobillah). Mirza Maghfoor Ahmad said roughly the same.
In 2026 (Apr)(1:47:18), Maulvi Razi quoted this verse in his opening statement vs. Adnan and Imtiaz. Maulvi Razi was trying to argue that this verse was metaphoric/spiritual, similarly MGA being the second coming of Muhammad (Saw) is the same (naozobillah). At 2:08:08, Maulvi Razi alleged that Muhammad (Saw) had sifat (power) that reflected from Allah (buruzi) and this is the context of 8:17 of the Quran (8:18 in the Kadiani Koran).
