Intro
In 1994, Mirza Tahir Ahmad taught Ahmadi parents to consider Ex-Ahmadi’s as dead (See the clip on TikTok and Twitter).
On Aug-23, 2020, during a mulaqat with Lajna from Netherlands, a question was asked about relations with Ex-Ahmadi’s. Mirza Masroor Ahmad responds by quoting the verse of the Quran wherein it stated by Allah that there is no compulsion in religion (2:256). Mirza Masroor Ahmad then says that anyone can quit the Ahmadiyya jamaat. Mirza Masroor Ahmad then says that maybe some relatives can stay in touch with such person and try to bring him back to Ahmadiyya. Mirza Masroor Ahmad then says, however, if someone quits and then speaks against the Ahmadiyya Jamaat, cusses at Mirza Ghulam Ahmad, says bad things about the Ahmadiyya Khalifa’s, say’s bad things about the Ahmadiyya system of governance (Nizaam), then, in this case, this type of person should be avoided at all costs and this ex-Ahmadi could pollute other minds, thus boycott the Ex-Ahmadi. However, Mirza Masroor Ahmad says that some people leave Ahmadiyya and have no problems (since they remain quiet) and even intermarry with Ahmadi’s and with some people who have been kicked out of the Ahmadiyya Nizam. Mirza Masroor Ahmad then says that Ahmadi’s write him letters wherein they ask permission, as they wish to invite ex-Ahmadi or someone who was kicked out from the Jamaat to their weddings, Masroor then approves or disapproves. In conclusion, Mirza Masroor Ahmad reiterates his point, i.e., if an Ex-Ahmadi opposes the Ahmadiyya Jamaat, boycott him, however, if they remain quiet, then, their family can remain in touch.
