Intro
We have a found a newspaper report from the famous Pioneer newspaper of British from Thursday, March-29th, 1894 and April 5th and 12th. The March-29th, 1894 edition reported on the lunar eclipse of March 20th, 1894. However, it should be noted that the day would change when the sun went down (not at mid-night), and thus the evening of March 20th, would actually be March 21st in the islamic calendar. This totally contradicts the alleged hadith in Dar-e-Qutni which clearly says that the there would be a lunar eclipse the first night of ramadhan, and this had never happened before in the history of the universe, which is true, lunar eclipses don’t happen on the first night of Ramadhan. It should also be noted that the Lunar eclipse was only visible in Agra and not Qadian.
The solar eclipse is reported in the April 12th, 1894 edition of the Pioneer Mail and happened on the last day of Ramadhan, which was April 6th. This is also in full contradiction with alleged hadith in Dar-e-Qutni which clearly says that the there would be a solar eclipse the middle of ramadhan. MGA and his team have never accepted this, they say it happened on April 5th, or they extend Ramadhan to April 7th.
Furthermore, we have also posted an internal document from the British government for March-April of 1894 wherein the Thanesar Eclipse Fair of 1894 is discussed (from brit library records). These internal documents tell us how 500,000 people showed up for the the event. Many hindu newspapers (and other sources) told Hindus about the impending Solar eclipse on April 6th, 1894 and thus, it happened on the morning of April 6th from 7:20am to 9:50am. Per the report about 75% of the sun was covered by the moon. This report tells us that even 2-3 months before these eclipses happened, hindus had told the railway department that they would have lots of Hindu’s travelling to Thanesar. These reports also tell us that there similar eclipse fairs in 1871, 1872, 1874 and 1887.
In conclusion, after the Thanesar fair and after the Pioneer Mail published all of this info about the eclipses, then, the private letters of Fatih Masih, wherein he urged MGA to connect these eclipses with his claims, then and only then did MGA’s team concoct the entire story of the eclipses. Even in 2019, hindus celebrate the a solar eclipse with a festival.
2 years after the eclipses (1896). MGA claims that the Pioneer called the eclipses a supernatural event and acknowledges that the Pioneer foretold the eclipses. MGA also argues that his enemies changed the dates from the 13th to the 14th and the 28th to the 29th. MGA quotes the Pioneer and Sole Military Gazette.
MGA knew that the eclipses would happen and still didn’t bother to use them as a sign before they happened. He just acknowledged that he knew but after the happened… over a month later on the 11th of May 1894, Padri Fateh Masih trolled MGA, saying people are going crazy in Makkah over the eclipses and advised him to go there and claim to be the Mahdi. About a week later, on May 18 1894 MGA writes Nur al Haq volume 2 and quotes the letter of Fateh Masih. It shows how calculative he was.
But he proves himself to be false because he said that if someone only uses the eclipses after they happen then he’s false… MGA had the opportunity to foretell them using the scientific knowledge he possessed just as Abdul Ghafar Janba did for the 2003 eclipses. But instead, he waited until someone made a big deal (Padri Fateh Masih) and then he later lied saying that he foretold them in Baraheen e Ahmadiyya 12 years prior to them taking place.
This whole narration is totally fabricated. Sunan Darqutni is a Hadith Book where Imam Darqutni collected mostly weak, unreliable und fabricated narrations to highlight which narrations should be thrown in the trash and never taken as part of ones faith.

Thanesar Eclipse Fair of 1894 from brit library records
Thanesar is a historic town and an important Hindu pilgrimage centre on the banks of the Saraswati River in the state of Haryana in northern India. It is located in Kurukshetra district, approximately 160 km northwest of Delhi. Kurukshetra‘s urban area now merges with Thanesar. Thanesar derives its name from the words “Sthaneshwar” which means “Place of God.” The Sthaneshwar Mahadev Temple, whose presiding deity is Lord Shiva, is believed to be place where the Pandavas with Krishna prayed to Lord Shiva and received his blessings for victory in the battle of Mahabharata.

Narrated Amr son of Shamir, quoting Jabir, who quoted Mohammad bin ‘Ali:
“For our Mahdi, two signs are given which never occurred in the past from the creation of the heavens and the earth. One is that a lunar eclipse will occur on the first night of Ramadhan and the second sign is that a solar eclipse will occur in the middle of Ramadhan and these signs had never happened from the creation of the heavens and the earth.”

Fateh Masih was the person who told MGA to make his claim of being the Mahdi based on the eclipses of March and April 1894 (See the scans in the below from the Nur Afshan). Fateh Masih also wrote this in private letters to MGA. He urged MGA to go to Mecca and make his claims. Fateh Masih was posted at Fatehgarh, District Gurdaspur and was working as a Christian Missionary. These were the eclipses that MGA used to solidify his claim of being the Mahdi and were written in Nurul-Haqq Part-2. However, there are authentic hadith reports from Muhammad (saw) which clearly assert that eclipses don’t signify the birth of anyone.
Summary
MGA was trolled by Fateh Masih to make the claim of being Mahdi in Makkah and he said the people in Makkah are going crazy and waiting for the Mahdi.

From 1894 to MGA and his team wrote that these types of eclipses had never happened ever before or would ever happen after, see Noorul Haq, Part-2, which corresponds to RK-9.

The extended story
In MGA’s first two books of 1891, “Victory of Islam” and “Elucidation of Objectives” he never mentioned anything about any Mahdi coming. 7 years earlier, in Barahin-i-Ahmadiyya (1884), vol. 4, MGA began to assert that he was related to Fatima, MGA even claimed that he saw a vision or had a dream wherein he put his head on Fatima’s thigh. MGA would use this later on in 1901 when he claimed prophethood. MGA proved that when he fabricated this dream/vision in 1883-1884, he was planning to claim to be the Mahdi later on.
In 1890-1891, via Izala Auham, MGA claimed that many Mahdi’s had already appeared and many more could appear. MGA argued that all the hadith on the Mahdi were fake. MGA only authenticated one hadith on the Mahdi, and that was Eisa (as)=Mahdi. However, in 1894, after Fateh Masih urged MGA to claim to be the Mahdi based on the double eclipses of 1894, MGA and his team of writers authenticated a dubious shia hadith and now claimed that there was now only 2 authentic hadith on the Mahdi. However, MGA errored and claimed that these eclipses had never happened before in the history of human history. In 1897, when MGA was apprised that these happen every 22 years, MGA and his team of writers changed their arguments. By 1901, MGA was claiming to be from the family of Muhammad (saw). However, after MGA died, in Barahin-i-Ahmadiyya vol.5 (published in October of 1908), Noorudin denied all hadith on the Mahdi and thus contradicted MGA’s arguments in 1901 and 1902.

Our aim is only to mention that from the time man has appeared in this world, solar and lunar eclipses have occurred as Signs only in my age for me. It is clear from this that the reference is to the two signs because signs are of feminine gender. Hence if anybody thinks that many times lunar and solar eclipse have occurred, it is his responsibility to show the claimant to Mahdi who declared the solar and lunar eclipses as his sign and this proof should be certain and conclusive and this can only happen if a book of the claimant is produced who claimed to be Mahdi Ma’hood and had written that the lunar and solar eclipses which occurred in Ramazan on the dates specified in Dar-e-qutni are the Signs of my truth. In short we are not concerned with the mere occurrence of solar and lunar eclipses even if they had been thousands of times. As a Sign this has happened at the time of a claimant only once and the Hadees has proved its authenticity and truth through its fulfillment at the time of the claimant to Mahdi.”””
