Intro
It seems that the Barahin-i-Ahmadiyya Vol. 1-4 were re-published and edited in 1900, that’s when the second edition was published, the 3rd edition was published in 1905 (see Barahin-i-Ahmadiyya, vol. 3, online english edition). The Barahin 1&2 were very small, MGA had his team add many announcements, the same story exists for BA3. One more thing, MGA published his first ever revelation in the BA3, before 1882, MGA had never published any revelations, nor had he admitted to getting any, he did write that it was possible in BA2. This book is barely 15 pages long, and then abruptly ends and is continued in the BA4. A super long footnote starts as the book ends. Weird! Nevertheless, in this entire book, MGA argues that divine revelation is allowed in Islam and will never finish, this is MGA’s main argument in the Barahin. There is no claim of MGA being a Mujadid in this book. However, many years later, #ahmadis back-dated this claim to 1882, since in Nishan Asmani (1892) MGA claimed that he made the claim of being the Mudadid 11 years prior to this book. The 4th revelation in the below is what #ahmadis claim was MGA’s claim to being a Mujadid. After the publishing of BA-4, MGA was immediately called a Kafir by the Ahl-e-Hadith ulema of India.
6 pages worth of an english translation seem to have been published in the ROR of Aug-Sep-1919. The ROR of April-1938 has another 6 pages of BA-3 translated into english, they correspond to BA-3, pages 141–146. In the ROR of Jan-1942, MGA’s revelations are discussed, from BA-3.
