Intro
The Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat International (AMJI) was created by Mirza Masroor Ahmad on March 30th, 2004, about a year after he became Khalifa. His name is not legally connected to any charitable organization in the world, he doesn’t have any type of significant control (see Akber Chaudhary and Ak Shaikh’s video explanation).
The Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat International (AMJI) is the umbrella organization of the Ahmadiyya movement on a global level. They issue grants which are awarded by the trustees to other charities with similar objectives and the Ahmadiyya Muslim Communities both in the UK and overseas, where they are most needed, having first been assessed by the trustees on a case-by-case basis. As a result, grants are made to institutions and individuals to ensure that work is done on all our objectives throughout the period. RSM UK AUDIT LLP is their auditor.
They get sent money from the Ahmadiyya Jamaat in the UK, Canada, USA, Germany and about 80 other countries. It should be noted that the Ahmadiyya movement in Pakistan does not send money to the AMJI. The AMJI directly provides Humanity First with human resource and financial aid. A lot of their projects and disaster aid schemes are also funded by AMJ.
In 2019, the UK Jamaat gave the AMJI roughly 8 million pounds. An additional 30 million pounds was received mostly from the USA, Canada and Germany. The other 85 countries don’t seem to donate much.
They seem to have given the Mirza Sharif Ahmad Foundation the headquarters, which is worth 40 million pounds. Thus, the AMJI has no assets (or barely any). They send out their funds to other Ahmadi charities and thus launder the money.
In 2019, total income was 3.8 million, and expenditures were 38.5 million. The balance on undesignated reserves as at 31 December 2019 is £2.63 million (31 December 2018 is £5.06 million). Additionally, the trustees have retained the social investment reserve (designated reserves) of £29.52 million (31 December 2018, £27.07 million).
There are 228 employees, which is strange, these could be the total amount of Qadiani-murrabi’s working in 88 countries. There are 9 trustees, 4 of these are also trustees for other Ahmadi charities (AL-SHIRKATUL ISLAMIYYAH), a 5th trustee also works as a trustee at the Mirza Sharif Ahmad Foundation. The President of the entire Canadian Jamaat, Lal Khan Malik is another trustee. That leaves 3 people, one of which is LODEWIJK VERHAGEN, who is totally unknown. ABDULLAH UWE WAGISHAUSER, who is the President of the entire German-Ahmadiyya Jamaat is also a trustee. The final trustee is Dr FAROOQ MAHMOOD, who is also totally unknown in Ahmadiyya circles.
AMJI operates 685 schools in 12 countries and awarded scholarships to 7,623 students.
