Intro
In 1891, as MGA made his craziest claims, he denied the islamic concept of angels (See Upal, page 649). However, a few months later, MGA denied the allegation altogether (see Nishan Asmani, online english edition, page 52). 12 years later (see “Nasim-e-Dawat”), MGA had invented a new definition of angels (see the quote in the below). MGA even asserted that angels exist in the breasts of women. These seem to be ideas that MGA stole from Sir Syed Ahmad Khan (See Upal, page 649)(See ROR of Feb-1947). In the 1850s, Mufti Muhammad Abduhu of Egypt , in his Tafseer Al-Minar, writes that everything in the universe has some basic energy or force by virtue of which it exists, survives, or retains balance.
Remember, MGA never saw the arch angel Gabriel, and instead saw numerous angels like Mithal Lal, Darshani, Khairati, Ayal or Ail, Sher Ali, Dev Singh and Herdev Singh, Sakina and Hafeez. MGA had some weird angels who would visit him, sometimes, they would sing and dance. #Ahmadi sources claim that angels taught Mirza Basheer ud Din Mahmud Ahmad the Fatiha, and no one knew it before him. MGA claimed to be surrounded by angels all the time, he even called himself as as having Ruhul-Qudus (1891), in fact, his famous Khutbah ilhamiya was a situation wherein MGA claimed that his tongue was taken over by Gabriel. MGA had some weird angels who would visit him, sometimes, they would dance, sometimes they would bring money and call themselves Tichi Tichi. In 1905, MGA had a revelation of his published in his newspaper the Al-Badr wherein he described meeting an angel named Tichi Tichi. By 1907, MGA gave an explanation of this incident via Haqiqatul Wahy. In fact, in Haqiqatul Wahy, MGA mentioned an angel named Ayal (see page 123 and 920, online english edition), in the foonotes, the Author (we think MGA) wrote that Ayal means Gabriel, however, we haven’t check the first few editions yet.
MGA even claimed that Noorudin and Muhammad Ahsan Amrohi were the 2 angels that he descended with him. In 2002-2003, Mirza Tahir Ahmad said that angels are also good people.

“””Three Types of Angels
The Holy Qur’an mentions three types of angels:
(1) The particles of earthly bodies and the faculties of souls.
(2) Heaven, the sun, the moon and the clouds of the earth that are in operation.
(3) The higher powers above all these like Gabriel and Michael, ‘Izra’il and others which are called Jum in the Vedas….
The Holy Qur’an uses the word angel very frequently. Everything that hears God’s voice is His angel. Thus every particle of the world is an angel of God for it hears His voice and obeys Him.””

Angels Carry Out Appropriate Duties
May Allah guide you, the Holy Qur’an nowhere says that God is changeable, but it does say that man is changeable. Therefore, God carries out changes appropriate to man. When a child is in the womb, it is nourished on blood, and when it is born, for a time it is nourished on milk and thereafter takes other food. God Almighty makes appropriate provision for it from time to time. When a child is in the womb God Almighty commands the angel, i.e., internal particles of the womb, to manufacture blood for it. When it is born that command is cancelled. The angels of the mother’s breasts, which are their particles, are commanded to produce milk. When a child finishes its nurture through milk, that command is also cancelled and the angels of the earth, who are its particles, are commanded to produce food and water for it till the end. Hence we believe that such changes are part of Divine Will….
God has taught us in the Holy Qur’an that this natural system does not run by itself and that all the particles of these things hear the voice of God and are His angels, who are appointed by Him to carry out certain functions and they do so according to His will. The particles of gold
manufacture gold, and the particles of silver manufacture silver, and the particles of pearls manufacture pearls, and the particles of the human body prepare the human child in the womb. These particles do not function on their own, but hear God’s voice and act in accordance with it. That is why they are called His angels.
Angels are of many types. These are angels of the earth. The angels of heaven exercise their influence from heaven, as the heat of the sun is an angel of God which ripens the fruits and performs other functions. The winds are God’s angels which assemble the clouds and influence
the fields in different ways, and then above them there are other angels which exercise their influence. Natural sciences bear witness that angels are essential beings; we observe them with our own eyes.””

In the ROR of Jan-Feb-1922, the editors present some writings of MGA which are unknown. In these writings, MGA calls individual Ahmadi’s as angels.

1947
Per the ROR of Feb-1947, a photo of Maulvi Jalal ud Din Shams is posted. The ROR also has an essay by him entitled, “Preaching of Islam in Europe” by J.D. Shams (for imam of the London mosque). In this essay, he talks down on Sir Syed Ahmad Khan, Maulvi Chiragh Din and Syed Amir Ali and claims that they fabricated all of their beliefs to please the colonists. For example, Shams states that Sir Syed Ahmad Khan denied the existence of angels. He also mentions how a white man named Dixon (also mentioned in Nuzul ul Masih, 1909)(income tax case) came to Qadian once and MGA walked him out to the canal bridge, which is 2.5 miles outside of Qadian. He also mentioned MGA’s famous fake dream of 1890-1891 which was written in Izala Auham (See Izala-e-Auham, pp. 515–516, Ruhani Khaza’in, vol. 3, p. 377) wherein MGA said that white birds would join Ahmadiyya (See the ROR of June-1917). Shams also mentioned Mufti Muhammad Sadiq and the Piggot. Shams also wrote how Sir Fazl-i-Hussain praised the efforts of Ahmadiyya in London (in 1927). Sir Fazl-i-Hussain mentioned how Khwaja Kamaluddin had travelled to London in 1913 and started this mission of MGA. Shams made disparaging remarks about Khwaja Kamaluddin.
