"Qarnain"

Mirza Ghulam Ahmad also claimed to be the second coming of Dhul-Qarnain, from Quran 18:83

Intro
After MGA died in May of 1908, the new Khalifa, Maulvi Noorudin ordered the publishing of many books, Jesus in India was published (as an incomplete book) and the Barahin-e-Ahmadiyya Vol. 5 was finally published in October of 1908. In fact, in 1906, in Haqiqatul Wahy, MGA and his team of writers were arguing that since the Quran took 23 years to be revealed, the same was true in terms of the 5th volume of the Barahin, which was like the Quran per MGA. Nevertheless, in this book, MGA claims to be Dhul-Qarnain. He claims that the Quranic verses of Chapter 18, verses 83–103 (see page 151 of the online english version of BA5) are all about himself (MGA), specifically, 18:83, which would be 18:84 in the Qadiani-Ahmadi quran, since they add a verse to every chapter. MGA and his team of writers mention the word Dhul-Qarnain 28 times in this book. Historically, MGA first made the claim that he is Dhulqarnain in Lecture Lahore, which is also in Essence of Islam Vol. 3 (1904). His name is also spelled as such Dhulqarnain. The ROR of February-1913 also claims that MGA is the same Dhul Qarnain who was mentioned in the Quran. As does the ROR of June-1918.

The Rational Religion team of Qadiani’s accidentally agreed that MGA was born in 1840

Intro
The Rational Religion team of workers (basically Tahir Nasser and Umar Nasser, brothers), made a huge blunder a few days ago when they posted what seemed to be a chart of MGA’s age progression. This is in terms of MGA seeing multiple 100-years cycles and how MGA saw 2 centuries. The Rational Religion team alleged that the name Dhul-Qurnain can refer to one who has lived two centuries. MGA stated: I have not found a single nation of whose calendar I have not seen two centuries” (Barahin-e-Ahmadiyya Part V, pp. 146-147). Check out the age prophecy herein.

Ahmadi’s claim that 36:20 (36:21 in the Qadiani Quran) is about Mirza Ghulam Ahmad

Intro
The 2018 edition of the official 5 volume commentary of the Quran was published. This was first published in 1988, and the second edition came out in 2018. The author is Malik Ghulam Farid (who died in 1977). In this, Malik Ghulam Farid asserts that MGA is mentioned in 36:20 (36:21 in the Qadiani Quran).

Ahmadi’s claim that MGA was mentioned in 91:2 (91:3 in the Qadiani Quran)

Intro
The 2018 edition of the official 5 volume commentary of the Quran was published. This was first published in 1988, and the second edition came out in 2018. The author is Malik Ghulam Farid (who died in 1977). In this, Malik Ghulam Farid asserts that MGA is mentioned in 91:2 (91:3 in the Qadiani Quran). Interestingly, MGA mentioned this verse in “Taudih-e-Maram” or “Elucidation of Objectives” (1891) and didn’t ascribe it to himself.

Mirza Ghulam Ahmad claimed to be the Rasul mentioned in 61:9 (61:10 in the Qadiani Quran) and 9:33 and 48:28

Intro
In the Barahin-Ahmadiyya (vol.4)(see page 374), MGA quoted 61:9 of the Quran and claimed that this verse was about the second coming of the Messiah, and how the Messiah would prove the supremacy of Islam. MGA also claims that he resembles the Messiah in his first life. MGA then claims that since he resembles the Messiah, he (MGA) was always included in this verse (See the full quote in the below). However, it should be noted that MGA didn’t fully quote 61:9 and missed a few words at the end. Thus, this could also be 48:28 (48:29 in the Qadiani Quran) of the Quran, since the first sentence is exactly the same. 9:33 (9:34 in the Qadiani Quran) of the Quran also has the same first sentence. Thus, MGA was claiming 3 verses for himself and claiming that all 3 of these verses are about the second coming of the Messiah, and how the Messiah would prove the supremacy of Islam. It should also be noted that MGA had quoted 9:33 in the BA-3, 9:32 is on page 157, online english edition.

Almost 20 years later, in in 1901, via “Eik Ghalti Ka Izala”, MGA quoted this entire scenario and explained how he has been a prophet since 1880-ish. Interestingly enough, the same verse is quoted by MGA in Khutbah Ilhamiya.

Even in the 2018, official 5-volume commentary of the Quran, it is explained that 9:32 is about MGA and how MGA will make Islam prevail against Christians.

In 1891, MGA twisted at least 30+ verses of the Quran, as he made his wild claims

Intro
In 1891, after MGA planned to make his wildest claims, he began by twisting 30 verses of the Quran. In early 1891, MGA published “Victory of Islam”(published on Jan-22, 1891, see Muhammad Ali), which was followed by “Elucidation of Objectives” (published on Jan-22, 1891, see Muhammad Ali). The 3rd book of MGA after his wild claims is Izala Auham (published in September of 1891, see Muhammad Ali), this is where MGA twisted additional verses of the Quran. We have posted the full list in the below.

Upon review, it wasn’t just 30 verses of the Quran that MGA twisted in 1891, it was more, it was 58, since MGA added additional verses. However, MGA didn’t mention 39:42(39:43 in the qadiani quran), which is the most important verse in this debate, that is only if someone is looking for the truth. Furthermore, 95% of the verses that MGA and his team quoted have nothing to do with Eisa (As) and are simply general rules, these rules don’t apply to prophets/messengers.

Mirza Ghulam Ahmad, Surah Al-Kahf, protection against Dajjal and the Ahmadiyya Movement

Intro
We have covered MGA and all of his utterances in terms of Dajjal and posted them herein, it doesn’t seem like MGA ever commented on the first 10 verses of Al-Kahf. However, he did comment on the last 10 and the last 20. In 1879, in the BA2, MGA quoted 18:109 (18:110, in the Ahmadi quran) and thus using this verse for his own prophethood. MGA didn’t mention any hadith at this point, nor did he connect the last 10 verses with protection against the Dajjal. In BA-3 (See page 108), MGA quoted one of the first 10 verses of Al-Kahf, however, he didn’t connect it with the Dajjal, Christian missionaries and etc. In BA-4 (see pages 316, 327 and 439), MGA quotes one of the last 10 verses of Al-Kahf, however, he didn’t connect it with the Dajjal, Christian missionaries and etc. By 1891–1893, MGA made his wild claims and argued that Dajjal was the Christian missionaries, and the British and Russian governments.

Just before MGA died, via MGA’s book “Chasma-e-Marifat”, Mirza Ghulam Ahmad claimed that the blowing of the trumpet in the Quran, is about the coming of the Messiah (18:100). In BA-5, which was published after MGA died, it is written that MGA=Dhul Qarnain, this falls into the last 20 verses of Sura Al-Kahf. In the 1960’s at Rabwah, the 2nd Khalifa published Malfuzat and it is written therein that MGA did believe that the first 10 verses related to the Anti-Christ (aka Dajjal) (See Malfuzat-3, online english edition, pages 99-100).

After MGA died, and via Malfuzat(see pages 99-100), MGA made the connection, however, this was in the 1960’s in Rabwah.

Thus, in 1917, the Lahori-Ahmadi, Muhammad Ali published his famous english commentary and called the authentic hadith of Muhammad (Saw) in terms of Al-Kahf and Dajjal as true, however, he said, “the first 10 or the last 10”.

In 1988, via the famous 5-volume commentary of the Quran by Malik Ghulam Farid, the Ahmadiyya Movement called the famous authentic hadith which was related by Abu Hurraira and in terms of Dajjal and how Muhammad (Saw) specifically told Muslims to recite the first 10 verses of Sura-Al-Kahf (Chapter 18) to get protection from Dajjal as fake hadith. However, he acknowledged the last 10 (most likely since MGA quoted it).

Did Muslims ever get prophetic revelations wherein verses of the Quran were re-revealed onto them?

Intro
MGA claimed to be re-revealed the Quran in some weird way. MGA was also asserting that he was the second coming of Muhammad (Saw) in this way. In their desperation, unofficial Ahmadi’s like Razi at Ahmadi.answers are claiming that other Muslim scholars also claimed to be receive verses of the Quran via un-prophetic revelation and thus try to make a parallel. We are waiting to get a hold of these books and thus do a proper analysis. Nevertheless, it seems to us that these Muslim scholars received non-prophetic revelations which have zero to NO meaning. MGA claimed to be get prophetic revelation, and claimed to be the Mahdi and Esa (As)(nauozobillah), thus, the case of MGA is different. Interestingly, Razi quotes the Ghaznavi’s, who were around in MGA’s time. Razi doesn’t give scans, nor does he tell us as to who translated this for him. In fact, the Ghaznavi’s had the same teacher as MGA, Sayyid Nazir Husain, who also read MGA’s nikkah in 1884.

The Ghaznavi’s

Maulvi Abdullah Ghaznavi who was another Indian Saint of the last century also said he received verses in his divine revelation including:

“Send peace and blessings upon him.” (The Quran 33:57)

“And soon thy Lord will give thee so that thou art well pleased.” (93:6)

“Have We not expanded for thee thy bosom.” (94:2)

“Is not God sufficient for His servant.” (39:37)

“He is only a servant upon whom We bestowed favours.” (43:60)

He also received the following revelation

“Thou art from Me and I am from Thee. So fear not nor grieve.” (Biography of Maulavi Abdullah Ghaznavi by Maulavi Abdul Jabbar Ghaznavi, pp. 10 – 11)

Maulvi Abdul Jabbar Ghaznavi  wrote :“If someone receives a Divine revelation (ilham) which is some verse of the Quran addressed particularly to the Holy Prophet Muhammad, the recipient of this revelation would take it as referring to himself, and would interpret it in the light of his own circumstances and draw a lesson from it. …“So if someone has revealed to him verses specially addressed to the Holy Prophet, for instance: ‘Have We not expanded for thee thy breast’, ‘thy Lord will soon give thee so that thou wilt be pleased’, ‘Allah will suffice thee against them’, ‘be patient and resolute as the messengers were’, ‘hold thyself with those who call upon their Lord morning and evening’, ‘pray to thy Lord and sacrifice’, ‘obey not him whose heart We have made unmindful of Our remembrance, and he follows his low desires’, ‘He found thee groping and guided thee’; the meaning would be that that person would be granted these things to the extent that he deserves, according to his station. And as for the commands and prohibitions [in the revelations], these would apply to him as to the Holy Prophet.” (Asbat al-ilham, pp. 142 – 143)

Khawaja Mir Dard of Delhi has stated that he was revealed verses of the Qur’an in his book Ilm Al Kitab under Tahdees Ni’mat ar Rabb:

“Warn thy near relatives.” (The Quran, 26:215)

“Say: Allah is sufficient for me.” (39:39)

“Be steadfast as thou art commanded, and follow not their low desires.” (42:16)

“Grieve thou not for them, nor be distressed because of what they plan.” (27:71)

“Did He not find thee groping, and guided thee.” (93:8) ( ‘Ilm al-Kitab, pp. 61 – 64.)

Mirza Ghulam Ahmad claimed that the Quran, 77:11 (77:12 in the Qadiani Quran), was about his coming

Intro
MGA claimed many quranic verses were about his arrival, the list is getting long, 1:7, 2:4, 48:2961:09 and 9:32, 21:107, 10:16, 17:8, 18:83, 61:6, 62:3 and many others. We have also recently found 77:11. In “Shahadat ul Quran” (Testimony of the Quran)[1893], via the online english edition, on page 26, MGA clearly claims that this verse 77:11 (77:12) was revealed about his own coming. In this verse, MGA argued that ar-Roosulu means one messenger, in the singular, and that this verse was specifically about himself (MGA). This contradicts the Ahmadiyya argument on 3:144, and the assertion that Ar-Roosulu mean ALL. MGA also argued that this verse was about the muhaddaseen in the ummah, which was later contradicted.

Razi ullah Noman aka @ahmadianswers tried to respond here in this video (See at the 50:00 minute mark). Razi tries to counter-argue that MGA was claiming that Ar-rusul means ALL messengers, however, MGA was representing all of them. This is contradictory, since in Shahadatul Quran (1893), MGA clearly wrote that ar-rusul in 77:11 means a singular person. At this point in time, MGA was not claiming to be a rasul/nabi, only metaphorically, thus, MGA was including all mujadid’s, muhaddas’ and high-ranking imam’s.

In fact, 10 years later, in Tadhkiratul Shahadatain, MGA called himself the FINAL Khalifa (Khatamul Khulafa) and also claimed that the number of messengers had arrived (See ref in the below).
