Who is Maulvi Syed Kamal Yousaf?

Intro
Maulvi Kamal Yousaf (also spelled Kamal Yusuf) was the pioneering missionary to Scandinavia (Denmark, Norway, Finland, Iceland and Sweden). Ahmadiyya sources claim that he landed in Oslo, Norway in 1956, Maulvi Chaudhry Abdul Latif was with him. In those early days, this venture was supervised by the neighbouring Germany Jamaat.

After this, Chaudhry Abdul Latif Sahib BA sent a detailed report in regard to the establishment of the new Islamic mission:

“By the grace of God Almighty, with the prayers of and under the instruction of our beloved master, Hazrat Amirul Momineen [Hazrat Musleh-e-Maudra], I, along with brother Kamal Yusuf Sahib, reached the city Gothenburg on 14 June 1956 […] The first necessary task for establishing a new mission is to find a suitable room. In this regard, after special efforts, by the grace of Allah the Almighty, a suitable room has been found in Gothenburg for rent in which brother Kamal Yusuf Sahib has shifted.

“During the stay of one week, contacts were made with different societies. [We] had the opportunity to meet the officer in-charge of the relevant department of the government. He showed special interest in our tabligh related tasks and ensured all kinds of possible help. He also promised brother Kamal Yusuf Sahib for help in learning the language.”

Who is Hafiz Qudratullah?

Intro
As soon as WW-2 ended, the Ahmadiyya Movement was allowed by the British to send missionaries en masse to Europe, this was part of Ahmadiyya missionary push after WW-2 ended.

Thus, on Dec-18-1945, a delegation of nine missionaries departed for Europe to spread the message of Islam. Two more missionaries joined this unique group as they commenced their journey (See Tarikh-e-Ahmadiyyat, Vol. 9, p. 525). Hafiz Qudratullah was part of this.

Hafiz Qudratullah worked out of the Fazl Mosque in London in 1946 and in 1947 was ordered to move to Holland (Netherlands) and start a jamaat therein. In Holland (Netherlands), he worked with Maulvi Ghulam Ahmad Bashir. By 1950, Hafiz Qudratullah was recalled to Rabwah and he seems to have stayed therein and worked as the secretary of the Indonesian Ahmadiyya business venture (See the Ahmadiyya Gazette of the First Quarter-1956).

Who is Maulvi Ghulam Ahmad Bashir?

Intro
In 1945, Maulvi Ghulam Ahmad Bashir was part of a group of 9 Qadiani-Ahmadi Maulvi’s who were being sent to Europe to work and help the Mirza family grow their social entrepreneurial business (See Tarikh-e-Ahmadiyyat, Vol. 9, p. 525).

Their names were:

Malik Ata-ur-Rehman (Amir of the delegation), Chaudhry Zahoor Ahmad Bajwa, Hafiz Qudratullah, Chaudhry Allah Ditta (Ataullah), Chaudhry Karam Ilahi Zafar, Chaudhry Muhammad Ishaq Saqi, Maulvi Muhammad Usman, Master Muhammad Ibrahim, Maulvi Ghulam Ahmad Bashir, Maulvi Basharat Ahmad Naseem and Maulvi Nazir Ahmad Ali.

On October 13, 1946 the three Ahmadi missionaries, Shaikh Nasir Ahmad, Abdul Latif and Ghulam Ahmad Bashir met in Zurich, Switzerland, intending to establish a mission in Germany. However, due to the recent conclusion of the war, they were unable to enter the country. As a result, a mission was established in Zurich instead. Soon after, Abdul Latif and Ghulam Ahmad Bashir left the country for the Netherlands, whilst Sheikh Nasir Ahmad continued to serve Switzerland for the following 16 years, until 1962. During this period a German translation of the Quran was published and an Islamic journal Der Islam was founded. (Ahmadiyya Muslim Mosques Around The World – A Pictorical Presentation. Ahmadiyya Muslim Community; Khilafat Centenary Edition. 2008. ISBN 978-1882494514).

In what seems to be July of 1946, in London, 14 Qadiani-Ahmadi Maulvi’s took a picture together (see Rashid Ahmad’s, “Perseverance”, page 44). The Al-Hakam alleges that 9 of them were sent from Qadian.

Who is Qadiani-Ahmadi Maulvi Shaikh Nasir Ahmad?

Intro
Per Qadiani-Ahmadi sources, in Dec-1945, Shaikh Nasir Ahmad was sent from Qadian to London for work as a Qadiani-Ahmadi Maulvi in Europe, along with 9 others. Ahmadiyya sources allege that he graduated from the University of the Punjab in 1945 (a lie)(See the Moslem Sunrise of 4th Quarter-1950).

Who is Abid Haneef? The father of Azhar Haneef and a pioneer of the 3rd wave of Ahmadiyya in the USA

Intro
Abid Haneef converted to Ahmadiyya on August 13th, 1948 (see page 24)(and his wife Saliha Hanif, also spelled Saleha Haneef, she was Lajna President from 1953-1954). They were all living in NY in 1956-1959. While in New York (1948–1961) he worked with Zafrullah Khan extensively, since Zafrullah Khan was always visiting at the United Nations headquarters in NY. Abid Haneef was the President of the NY jamaat from 1956-1959. He was President of the Boston Jamaat from 1961 to 1989 (See page 25).

Abid Hanif confesses to be involved in the famous Mubahila challenge vs. Billy Graham, which was issued by Sheikh Mubarak Ahmad. In fact, Abid Hanif and 2 other Ahmadi’s were arrested for their antics vs. Billy Graham. His father was also acquainted with Rashid Ahmad, who was allegedly the first ever African American missionary, however, it seems that he was demoted as a result of sexual impropriety and made into a “Waqf-e-Zindagi”. In 1973, per the Moslem Sunrise of Jan-Feb-1974, there was a 7-man delegation to Rabwah from the USA, this was the first time something like this had ever happened. Members of the 7-man delegation were Rashid Ahmad (leader), Abid Haneef (Boston), Abdur-Raqib Wali (Boston), Abdul Kareem of Boston, Fazal Omar of Waukegan, Hasan Hakeem of Waukegan, Ill and Alhaji Abdur Rahim Zafar of Dayton later joined the delegation in Rabwah.

In 1982, he took his son Azhar Haneef to Qadian and Rabwah. Azhar Haneefdedicated his life to Ahmadiyya at the 1982 Jalsa Salana Rabwah. In the 80’s and 90’s, Abid Haneef continued as a high ranking pioneer and President of the Boston jamaat.

Who is Maulvi Hafiz Obaidullah?

Intro
His father was a companion of MGA, Hafiz Ghulam Rasul Wazirabadi. In 1897, Ghulam Rasul Wazirabadi dedicated his son to Ahmadiyya. Ahmadiyya sources allege that he died in Mauritius on Dec-7-1923 at roughly age 25 of tuberculosis (See ROR of Nov-Dec-1923). His name is spelled as Obeidullah in the ROR of 1917. There is no proof that he was a Hafiz. Based on my readings of the ROR, he was never called a Hafiz.

In the summer of 1917, Ahmadiyya sources allege that he met up with Maulvi Hafiz Ghulam Muhammad, B.A., they were both enroute to Mauritius to start the Ahmadiyya mission therein. Maulvi Hafiz Ghulam Muhammad, B.A. was a former pupil of Maulvi Noorudin and Maulvi Obaidullah seems to be his assistant. The ROR of 1917 alleges that Obaidullah had only recently graduated from Ahmadiyya Theology College at Qadian.

Maulvi Obaidullah and Maulvi Hafiz Ghulam Muhammad, B.A. arrived in Mauritius in early 1918. He mentions his wife in 1922 (see the ref in the below).

In Dec. of 1923 he died.

Who is Yuz Asaf?

Intro
In 1895-1896, it seems that from India, a new edition of “Barlaam and Josaphat” was published by a man named Joseph Jacobs. You can read the book online herein. He seems to have connected Yuz Asaf with this book. MGA and his team of writers were silent about this.
In 1898, in “Raz e Haqiqat”, MGA and his team of writers stole the Yuz Asaf theory from “Shahzadah Yuz Asaf” by Mirza Safdar Ali (1896).

One of Ghulam Ahmad’s disciples, Khalifa Nur Din (or, Noor al-Din) of Jalalpur Jattan, District Gujrat, spoke to him about a tomb in Srinagar that was said to be the tomb of a prophet named Yuz Asaf. In “Raz e Haqiqat”, MGA and his team of writers published a letter from Maulvi Abdullah (who quit Ahmadiyya later and became a Bahai), in this letter, Maulvi Abdullah said that “Kamal-ud-Din WA Itmam ul Naimat”, has only fairytales and fake stories. He said this because that book said that Yuz Asaf was the son of a local king. A 3rd book was also quoted, it’s Ayn-ul-Hayat, however, in this book it is also written that Yuz Asaf was the son of a local king. MGA also mentioned Tarikh-i-Azami (History by Azam), which tells us that Yuz Asaf was the son of a local King, and thus, it is proven that MGA lied about all of these sources.

MGA even claimed that Yuz Asaf brought the Injeel to Kashmir and it had been found in Tibet (See Raz-e-Haqiqat, online english edition). In this same era, MGA claimed that his God told him that Eisa (as)=Yuz Asaf, he even called it a great sign of his (See Tiryaqul Qulub Rohani Khazain Vol-15 page, 145, in the below), i.e., discovering that Eisa (as)= Yuz Asaf.

4 years later, in an arabic only book, AL-HUDA WA-TABSIRATO LIMAN YARA (1902), MGA and his team wrote that Yuz Asaf brought the Injeel to Kashmir and if anyone was interested in seeing this data, they should consult, “Kamal-ud-Din WA Itmam ul Naimat”. During MGA’s life, “Asla Musaffa” in english as “Pure Honey” (currently available on the Lahori-Ahmadi website) was published and it clearly said that MGA’s God told him that Eisa (as) is buried in Yuz Asaf‘s grave (see the explanation by Shams ud Din, at the 1:15;21 mark). A similar explanation was given in Malfuzat (1960’s). The Malfuzat ref seems to correspond to 1902, which is the year wherein MGA forcefully argued that via 23:50, Eisa (As) was buried in the tomb of Yuz Asaf. 16 years later, the 2nd Khalifa and his companions told Walter (see page 93) that MGA’s god revealed to MGA that Eisa (as) was buried in Yuzasaf’s tomb. MGA also claimed that Khalifa Nur ud Din had 72 witnesses and even wrote their names who were supposedly testifying that Yuz Asaf= Eisa (as). In fact, in “Al-Huda Wa-Tabsirato Liman Yara”, MGA and his team of editors claimed that claimed that 100,000 people are witnesses that Yuz Asaf = Eisa (as). After MGA died in 1908, the Ahmadiyya Movement tried to separate the word Yuz and Asif.

Nowadays, Ahmadi’s are denying that MGA’s god led him to the “Yuz Asaf theory”. In 2021, the Shams ud Din challenge on Yuz Asaf left the #Qadianis speechless. We have also tracked all references to Yuz Asaf in the Review of Religions. John Rippon rips the Ahmadiyya belief that Esa (As) =Yuz Asaph and was buried in Kashmir.

This history of #Ahmadiyya in the #USA

Intro
In 1976, Mirza Nasir Ahmad (3rd Qadiani Khalifa) visited the USA, this was the first time a sitting Khalifa visited the USA. By 1979, the Ahmadiyya Movement was claiming to have only 5 mission houses and 4 mosques in the country. However, at least 2 of the 4 alleged mosques are residential properties (the property on Wabash in Chicago and the residential property in Washington D.C. aka the American Fazl Mosque). The 3rd being the Ahmadiyya temple/mosque in Dayton, Ohio. The 4th is thus unknown.

The Ahmadiyya Movement sent Mufti Muhammad Sadiq in 1920 to the USA without a visa (however, with paperwork from the British Government). However, MGA’s correspondence with Alexander Webb goes back to the 1880’s. MGA’s photo and life story were also published in the American press from 1902-1907 in terms of his challenge to Dowie.

The Dec-1919 edition of the ROR tells the world that Mufti Muhammad Sadiq has been ordered by the Khalifa to go to the USA. The essay or announcement is written by Rahim Baksh aka Dard, who is working as the 2nd Khalifa’s secretary on 11-25-1919. The April-May-1920 edition of the ROR tells us that Mufti Muhammad Sadiq is detained in prison in the USA, Maulvi Sher Ali calls intolerance. Mufti Sadiq had sailed from England on January 26, 1920, and reached Philadelphia in the second week of February (2-15-1920, see ROR of July-1920). The immigration department blocked his entry into the U.S.A. on the grounds that he was not allowed to preach the message of God (See also the ROR of April-May-1920). Sadiq set up his first headquarters in April 1920 at 1897 Madison Avenue in New York City. His address was also written as: “Mufti Mohammad Sadiq Ahmadi Missioner 245 W 72 Street, New York City (USA)”.

In 1976, Mirza Nasir Ahmad visited the USA, marking the first time ever that a sitting Khalifa came to the USA.

The history of #Ahmadiyya in #Latvia

Intro
In 2023, Maulvi Basharat Ahmad Shahid is working as the missionary and national president of Jamaat Latvia. He seems to have been previously working in #Kyrgyzstan and #Uzbekistan.

In 2015, Latvia was under the management of the German jamaat, some missionaries from Germany also visited Latvia during that period and made efforts to establish a Community in Latvia. As a result, the Jamaat was officially registered in Latvia on 22 December 2015 under the name of “Association Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat Latvia”.

A missionary was appointed to Latvia by Mirza Masroor Ahmad, Khalifatul Masih V. He was initially working between Lithuania and Latvia, rotating between the two countries every two weeks. He visited Riga, the capital of Latvia, in April 2017, made some initial assessments and rented out a two-room flat there. After renting the flat, the missionary arrived in Riga on 8 May 2017 to start the mission.

In 2019, a combined Jalsa Salana (annual gathering) of the three Baltic states was held on 30 March 2019 in Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania, which was attended by the Ahmadis as well non-Ahmadi guests.

On 11 March 2020, the missionary of the Community and his family were granted visas for Latvia. Hence, they permanently moved from Lithuania to Latvia and took up residence there.
