Intro
As we all know, MGA could never fully open his eyes. His eye lids were always only 30% open as a result of opium use. We found a book by the Khalifa, Mirza Basheer ud Din Mahmud Ahmad from 1924, entitled, “Ahmad, the Messenger of the Latter Days”. On the 3rd page of this book, MGA’s famous picture from 1902 is posted, however, MGA’s eyeballs are edited and made to be bigger and open. You can compare and contrast with the other pics in the below.

A Quote which also proves that MGA was taking opium his own life
“When he (Mirza Ghulam) came for the first time to my press, he sat on a pillowed seat and I sat on one seat and he discussed with me about the book, looking at his dozy eyes, I thought that perhaps he uses opium, as is commonly the habit of rich people, but when I heard his talk or speech and thought about the articles of Braheen-e-Ahmadiyya, I was amazed at the condition of an Opium use is not like this, such man cannot write like this. Then Hazrat Sahib went awat…..Now I regretted my first mistake and repented it and know very well that it is the intoxication of divine knowledge and not that of opium as I first thought.”””
Statement of Qadiani Sahabi, Sheikh Noor Ahmad Sahib, Owner of Riaz Hind press, Al-Fazl, Newspaper, Qadian, vol. 34, No. 194, dated 20th August 1940.

Zikr-e-Habib, p. 300
–“When I was in the United States, I received a letter from a lady who resided in another city, wherein she stated, ‘I was met by a pious Indian gentleman in a vision who guided me through my difficulties. Can you tell me who he is?’ I sent her a few photos [for her to identify the person in her dream], one of which was of the Promised Messiah. Marking the photo [of Hazrat Ahmad], the lady sent me a letter saying, ‘This is the pious man [I saw in a vision].’”
–Mufti Muhammad Sadiq writes, “Sheikh Rahmatullah Sahib used to say that when we showed the picture of the Promised Messiah, on whom be peace, to some great men of Europe, they said, ‘He is a great thinker.’”
–[Dr Qazi Karam Ilahi Sahib states] ‘I also put a picture of the Promised Messiahas in front of him and asked, “What is your view about this person?” He looked at the photo for a considerable amount of time. Finally, he said, “This is a picture of an Israeli prophet.” “‘I think the word “Israeli” was said because Jews and Christians, in general, do not believe that anyone had received prophethood after the Israelite prophets.”’”

Tarikh–i-Ahmadiyya
What is Tarikh–i-Ahmadiyya? – ahmadiyyafactcheckblog
—It is recorded in the history of Ahmadiyyat that once, an American lady, after seeing Huzoor’s photo, expressed her desire to continue to observe Huzoor’s countenance. She said, “[The person in this photo] looks exactly like Jesus Christ.” (Tarikh-e-Ahmadiyyat, Vol. 2, p. 58).
—It is also recorded that a lady who was a physiognomist, after seeing Hazrat Ahmad’s photo, said, “His face resembles that of prophets.” (Tarikh-e-Ahmadiyyat, Vol. 2, p. 58).
—When a portrait of the Promised Messiah was published in The Review of Religions and sent to Western countries, letters came pouring in from many people addressed to Hazrat Ahmad. Huzoor’s photo had had a great impact on people who saw it. In the letters, many people said, “The person in this photo is not a liar.” (Tarikh-e-Ahmadiyyat, Vol. 2, p. 58).
