Intro
Dr. Abdus Sattar Shah (biography given by Mirza Masroor Ahmad in 2011) was a British government official employee, he worked as some type of doctor, he seems to have been a student of the famous Syed Abdul Latif. Dr. Abdus Sattar Shah is the maternal grandfather of Mirza Tahir Ahmad (See page 14). Syed Baagh Ali shah sahib is father of Dr Abdul sattar shah sahib who is buried in Sehala.
Dr. Abdus Sattar Shah also sent his daughter (Zainab) to Qadian for 3 months to give MGA massages and operate a fan, this is roughly 1904-1905.
In 1906 and early 1907, he was living at Qadian and is mentioned in “Haqiqatul Wahi” as a witness to the Earthquake prophecy of Feb-28-1907 (see 613, 616 and 661). His name is written as ‘Abdus-Sattar Khan of Kabul, Muhajir and as Abdus-Sattar. He was allegedly working at a hospital in a village near Sialkot, Raiyah as an assistant.
By Aug-1907, he was living in Qadian and tending to Mirza Mubarak Ahmad. He was chosen to give his infant daughter in marriage for MGA’s dying son, Mirza Mubarak Ahmad. They were married per some weird desi custom wherein marrying off a dying kid might somehow save his life. In 1907, The marriage of Mirza Mubarak Ahmad and Abdul Haye is announced (See Al-Badr of Sep-5-1907 and via Bro Imtiaz, 31:22). Abdul Haye is marrying the daughter of Pir Manzur Muhammad (father of the other Muhamadee Begum). Mirza Mubarak Ahmad is marrying Maryam, the daughter of Dr. Abdul Sattar Shah, she only 2 years old 9See Fazl-e-Omar).
However, Mirza Mubarak Ahmad died on 9-16-1907 (see the the Al-Badr of 9-17-1907) and his daughter was not a widow at 2 years old. She had even moved in at Qadian and shared a room with Mirza Mubarak Ahmad. Allegedly on Sep-16-1907, the day that Mirza Mubarak Ahmad died, MGA said that Mirza Mubarak Ahmad had recovered completely from the actual ailment. He had regained full health. There was no sign of fever at all. He repeatedly asked to be taken to the garden. He had a great liking for the garden, so he went there. However, MGA then says that his God had given the news of his death at the very time of his birth (in 1899 via Tiryaq ul Qulub) (See Al-Hakam, vol. 11, no. 34, p. 5–6, dated 24 September 1907, Via Malfuzat-9, pages 394-403).MGA also alleges that on Sep-15-1907, Mirza Mubarak Ahmad called me and put his hand in my hand and shook my hand as if he is departing for some place now and greeting me for the last time. Dr. Khalifah Rashid-ud-Din reported to the Al-Hakam that a few days ago MGA had said that he had seen in a dream that a death was to take place in this house and a goat had been slaughtered. As Maulawi Noor-ud-Deen was unwell in those days, an apprehension arose concerning him. Nawwab Muhammad ‘Ali Khan, Dr. Abdus-Sattar Shah, and he himself—all three—were a witness to this. Sayyid Mir Hamid Shah reported to the Al-Hakam that his mother had seen a dream (the morning of (9-24-1907) wherein there were four shining stars of Your Holiness (MGA’s 4 sons), one of them fell and entered the earth. Then Dr. Khalifah Rashid-ud-Din said, people used to call Mubarak Ahmad, Wali, wali [‘Friend of Allah, Friend of Allah’]. Then MGA said: Yes, Wali is verily the one who is destined for Paradise. It is also noted that the grave of Mirza Mubarak Ahmad was at quite a distance from the other graves in Bahishti Maqbara (this was most likely because he died of plague). MGA responded to this by fabricating a silly dream which is so nonsensical I can’t make sense of it.
In 1915, the Ahmadiyya Movement told the world that he was addicted to Opium (see the scan in the below, via Tadhkiratul Mahdi). He sided with the Qadiani-Ahmadi’s and remained loyal to the Mirza family after 1914.
In 1924 (Feb-7th), Dr. Abdus Sattar Shah agreed to allow his widowed daughter (Maryam)(who had already married Mirza Mubarak Ahmad) to marry the 2nd Qadiani-Ahmadi Khalifa (See page 18). She was 18-19 years old. She is the famous mother of Mirza Tahir Ahmad, she was affectionately called Umme-Tahir by her inner circle and outer circle of Ahmadi’s. Syeda Maryam was dead by 1944, her cause of death is unknown, she was roughly 37. A great-grand-daughter of Dr. Abdus Sattar Shah is Fauzia Faizi, she recently gave an interview wherein she exposed the level of incest and rape that existed in the household of Mirza Basheer-uddin Mahmud Ahmad. Fauzia Faizi is the niece of Mirza Tahir Ahmad, her mom’s female cousin is married to Mirza Tahir Ahmad. Fauzia Faizi is also a second or third cousin of Mirza Masroor Ahmad’s wife (Subuhee or Amatul Sabooh).
He retired from government service in 1925.
He is mentioned in the ROR of May 1930.
The 7th wife of the Khalifa, Mehr Appa was a grand-daughter of Dr. Abdus Sattar Shah in the 1940’s.

1—Zainab—at age 7-13, she would spend long nights with MGA (see the ref in the below)
2—Syed Wali-Ullah Shah, he married a woman was half turkish and half Syrian (the grandfather of Fauzia Faizi), Fauzia Faizi’s mother was Seema, he had 7 children in total.
3—Hafiz Syed Mahmood Ullah

The Khalifa, Mirza Basheer-uddin Mahmud Ahmad see’s Maryam walking in Qadian, he soon asks to marry her (1917)
Maryam was barely 10 years old, the Khalifa saw her walking in Qadian and seems to have fell in love. He married her officially 4 years later in 1921 (see Fazl e Omar, page 215). We think she was 14 at the time that she was taken home by the Khalifa.
_____________________________________________________________________________________________She seems to be the same age as Amtul Hai
Syeda Maryam became the 3rd wife of the Khalifa. We are not sure if she was given a separate house or not. Amtul Hai must have been close by, we are also unclear on her living arrangements. Amtul Hai was roughly 17-18 in this era. In Fazl-e-Omar we are told that Syeda Maryam famously didn’t get along with both of her husbands wives. The Khalifa left British-India for the UK in 1924, while he was gone, both of his young wives seem to have written letters begging for help, they claimed that the Khalifa was raping their daughters and etc.

Sayyid Zayn al ‘Abidin Waliullah Shah and his brother Dr. Syed Habibullah Shah Sahib are sent to Qadian for schooling, most likely at the Talim ul Islam High School. He describes Qadian as excessively dirty and lacking interesting features. He says he was upset when he found out that he would be forced to attend the Masjid Mubarak 5 times per day for prayers. He claims that he punched a guy who tried to wake up.
Sayyid Zayn al’Abidin Waliullah Shah alleges that in 1903, Mirza Ali Sher Baig cussed at him while reading Tasbih.

Sayyid Zayn al ‘Abidin Waliullah Shah tells the world that there was a breakout of cholera in Qadian in July of 1904, he alleges that MGA predicted it. This happened in the house of Mirza Sultan Ahmad, which was right next door to MGA, and was also the house of Mirza Imam ud Din. Sayyid Zayn al ‘Abidin Waliullah Shah alleges that Mirza Ali Sher Baig died of cholera.

1905
Via the ROR of Feb-1943, Sayyid Zayn al ‘Abidin Waliullah Shah tells a story about being alone with MGA, how he wanted to kiss MGA’s hair. Sayyid Zayn al ‘Abidin Waliullah Shah was waving a fan about MGA and really close. He then tells a story how a fellow classmate (Dr. Fazal Din) of his broke his walking crutches and he had to walk without them for several days. He claims that MGA rubbed some medicine on it and it was much better, he even alleges to have served in a military campaign and had no issues. He also tells about MGA and how MGA would go out into the fields and pray alone. When the famous Kangra earthquake occurred in 1905, MGA began to sleep in his garden and many students also camped with him.

1906-1907
In the ROR of March-1943, Sayyid Zayn al ‘Abidin Waliullah Shah explains how he freely moved into and outside of the house of MGA (1904-1907 era). He remembers when the plague hit Qadian and how MGA would use different chemicals to clear his house and the boarding house where all the students slept. He recalls how his father (Dr. Abdul Sattar Shah) asked MGA if he could visit a town that has already been hit with plague (in 1905) and MGA refused and cited the famous hadith wherein Muhammad (Saw) clearly said to never a visit a place where plague was raging. Sayyid Zayn al ‘Abidin Waliullah Shah alleges that the plague at Qadian only hit the Non-Ahmadi homes and Hindu’s (this is a lie, the editor of the Al-Badr Muhammad Afazl, died of plague). Sayyid Zayn al ‘Abidin Waliullah Shah then alleges that his parents had came to Qadian and were given a room in MGA’s house (the room is used in 1943 by a wife of the 2nd Khalifa). He alleges that the next door neighbor was a non-Ahmadi and someone died of plague in their house, which was only separated by MGA’s house by a wall. He also alleges that MGA gave a short speech.
In 1906 and early 1907, he was living at Qadian and is mentioned in “Haqiqatul Wahi” as a witness to the Earthquake prophecy of Feb-28-1907 (see 613 and 616). His name is written as ‘Abdus-Sattar Khan of Kabul, Muhajir and as Abdus-Sattar.

Once I came here (to Bahishti Maqbarah[—The Heavenly Graveyard]) in a dream and instructed the grave diggers that my grave should be away from others. The Case of the 2 1/2 Year Old Girl who became a Widow in less than a Week
byu/Master-Proposal-6182 inislam_ahmadiyya
Fifth Khalifa quotes the following in his book ‘Conditions of Ba’it and our Responsibilities’ starting on Page 268.
“There is an incident about Sayyed ‘Abdus Sattar Shah ra exemplifying the tenth condition of bai‘at that the bond of love with the Promised Messiah as shall be unprecedented. In 1907, the youngest son of the Promised Messiah as, Sahibzadah Mirza Mubarak Ahmad fell ill with severe typhoid fever. Someone during those days had a dream that Mubarak Ahmad was getting married. The people skilled in interpreting dreams have written that if the marriage seen in a dream is with an unknown woman, it means death. Some of them think that if such a dream is carried out literally, the death may be averted. The person who had seen the dream mentioned it and its possible interpretation to the Promised Messiah as. He agreed and said: ‘The interpreters of dreams believe that the interpretation is death, but sometimes to fulfil the dream literally may avert this outcome. Let us, therefore, get Mubarak Ahmad married.’ Though that child was too young to know anything about marriage, the Promised Messiah as took the thought in consideration.
When Hudur was saying the above, by chance (Sayyedah Sa‘idatun-Nisa’) the wife of Doctor Sayyed ‘Abdus Sattar,ra who was a guest, happened to be in the courtyard of the house. The Promised Messiah as saw her, and calling her over told her that he wished to arrange marriage for Mubarak Ahmad and said, You have your daughter Maryam. If you like we can marry her to Mubarak Ahmad. She replied that she had no objection but if Hudur would permit, she wanted to consult her husband. During those days late Doctor Sahib ra and his family were staying in the Round Room of the house. She went downstairs but he was not there. When he returned, she talked to him in the following words: ‘When someone enters the religion of Allah the Almighty, his faith is tested. Should Allah the Almighty test your faith by a trial, will you be steadfast?’ She had two things on her mind causing her to think that her husband might hesitate to make a decision in that matter. One was that till then no girl of his family was ever married to a non-Sayyed, and secondly Mubarak Ahmad was critically ill and he himself was treating him. He might think that that marriage was risky as it had ninety-nine percent chance of failure; and soon their daughter might have the stigma of widowhood. For these reasons she was afraid that her husband might show weakness and thus lose his faith. When she asked him: ‘If Allah the Almighty should test you with a trial, will you be steadfast?’ He replied: ‘I hope that Allah the Almighty shall grant me steadfastness.’ On hearing this, she told him the whole story that the Promised Messiah as had suggested that they may agree to marry Maryam with Mubarak. On hearing this he said: ‘Well, if the Promised Messiah as likes it, why should we have any objection?’ On hearing this, she started to cry and involuntarily tears started to flow from her eyes. ‘What is the matter? Do you not like this relationship?’ asked the late Doctor Sahib. The wife replied, ‘I like the arrangement. The thing is when the Promised Messiah as asked about this marriage (nikah), my heart was beating fast with anxiety and I was afraid that you may lose your faith [by refusing the proposal]. Now on hearing your answer, I cannot stop my tears due to happiness.’ So this marriage (nikah) was performed and after a few days, as the illness of Mubarak Ahmad was terminal, that girl became a widow. (Daily Al-Fadl, August 1, 1944, pp. 1–2, taken from Hadrat Doctor Sayyed ‘Abdus Sattar Shah Sahib, pp. 122–124)”
The age of the young girl at that time was 2 1/2 years and the groom was 8 years old. The marriage remained for less than a week before she became a widow.
“..The young girl, who was completely oblivious to the concept of marriage owing to her age, began to be referred to as a widow. At the time, Maryam was two and a half years old..”(Second Khalifa in Meri Maryam, Anwar-ul-Ulum, Vol. 17, pp. 347-372; Al Fazl, 12 July 1944, pp. 1-8) published in Al Hakam.

“[Maryam] was extremely thin and had certain facial features that were not very pleasant to me. Similarly, she had a strong Punjabi accent and I detest the usage of Punjabi in our home. She was somewhat facetious in nature and while speaking in Urdu, she would often deliberately mix Punjabi words in her sentences to irritate me.
As she was her parent’s favourite child, if she did not like something, it would irritate her and make her cry profusely, causing a stream of tears. At times, she would cry incessantly for a couple of days. Perhaps this was due to traces of hysteria..”
MGA told Dr. Syed Abdus Sattar Shah about a revelation (roughly after 1902)
“”Dr. Sayyed ‘Abdus-Sattar Shah narrates that the Promised Messiahas said:
Very close to this Minaret, two angels appeared before me [in a vision]. They had with them two sweet loaves of bread. They gave those loaves to me, saying: One is for you and the other is for your followers.””1274 [Siratul-Mahdi, part 3, Riwayat no. 885, p. 263]
1274 note—Note by Hadrat Maulana Jalal-ud-Din Shamsra: This dream is published under About 1874, page 23, where one angel and a nan is mentioned; and word dervishes is used instead of followers. If it is the same dream, there may be some lapse in the memory of the narrator. Or it may be a different vision. [Allah knows best.]

Dr. Syed Abdus Sattar Shah gets beat up for the cause of Ahmadiyya, but converts someone in the process
In this book, compiled by Ahmadi’s, it is written how Dr. Shah argued with a Non-Ahmadi Muslim, until his head was busted open. The person who busted his head open feared that he was going to get arrested and given 20+ years in jail. That person then converted to Ahmadiyya and NO crime was ever reported. Its a fishy story.
_____________________________________________________________________________________________From (Ashab e Ahmad by Malik Salahuddin. Nazir-Taleem-o-Tarbiyat, Secretary-Bahishti-Maqbara-Anjuman-Ahmadiyyah-Qadian, Vol-1 page 60). Ashab e Ahmad is quoted herein quite a bit.
Mirza Mubarak, the son of MGAQ was born in 1899. He was suffering from a fatal disease since his birth. Dr. Khalifa Rashiduddin and Dr. Syed Abdul Sattar Shah were his physicians.
One day somebody watched a dream that Marriage ceremony of Mubarak Ahmad has taken place. The dream expert was consulted who told that the dream indicates of the death of Mubarak Ahmad. However Somebody advised that Mubarak may be married to a girl to avoid the death.
In those days Dr. Abdul Sattar Shah and his family were staying in Qadian. MGAQ asked Mrs. Abdul Sattar Shah to marry their 2 years old girl Maryam to Mubarak. Although Dr. Abdul Sattar Shah knew that Mubarak is suffering from a dangerous disease, yet he agreed to the proposal due to his affection with his Peer. However this superstitious move did not work and eventually Mubarak Ahmad died at the tender age of 9 years. This gave a blow to the superstitions of Mirza Qadiani .

Tribute to Syed Dawood Muzaffer Shah sahib
His name was Syed Dawood Muzaffer Shah sahib. He passed away a few days ago. His paternal grandfather, Dr. Syed Abdul Sattar sahib was a companion of the Promised Messiah (on whom be peace). Dr. Syed Abdul Sattar sahib excelled in Taqwa, purity, humility, paying the dues of God and of mankind. Hadhrat Mirza Bashir Ahmad sahib (may Allah be pleased with him) related that once Hadhrat Khalifatul Masih I (may Allah be pleased with him) fell ill. The Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) gave sadqa of a goat. Dr. Syed Abdul Sattar sahib stayed with Hadhrat Khalifatul Masih I (may Allah be pleased with him) overnight, looking after him. When the Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) came to visit him in the morning, Hadhrat Khalifatul Masih I (may Allah be pleased with him) told him that Dr. sahib had stayed up all night, dispensing medication. The Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) was very pleased to hear this and remarked that this family was of the Paradise. Once, when he was a civil surgeon at a government hospital, Dr. Syed Abdul Sattar sahib was in a Tabligh discussion with someone. During the discussion the man threw an earthenware pot at Dr. sahib in anger. The pot hit him on his head and injured him. He quietly went to hospital and had his head bandaged. Meanwhile, the man realized that he had hit a senior government official and was fearful at the likelihood of being apprehended by police. However, Dr. Syed Abdul Sattar sahib returned to him and said he hoped his temper had cooled down. The man apologized. Thus was the model of patience as displayed by Dr. Abdul Sattar sahib. In spite of having the authority, he was patient. Only one who has had real self-purification can display such high moral.
Syed Dawood Muzaffer sahib was the second son of Hadhrat Hafiz Syed Mahmood Ullah sahib, who was the son of Dr. Syed Abdul Sattar Shah sahib. Hadhrat Hashmat Ullah Khan sahib, the special physician of Hadhrat Musleh Maud (may Allah be pleased with him) writes that Syed Mahmood Ullah sahib was a highly moral elder who had an ardent love of God and whose desire to serve humanity was of very high level, he had great respect for the elders and love for the younger ones. He wrote that his son was also very pious and was fortunate enough that Hadhrat Musleh Maud (may Allah be pleased with him) had given his daughter in marriage to him.
…………
Syed Dawood Shah sahib was drawn to prayers and worship of God by keeping his grandfathers’ company. He lived with his paternal grandfather. When Dr. Abdul Sattar sahib became very ill in his last days, he did not go to the mosque for Salat. Syed Dawood Shah sahib, a teenager at the time, used to lead Salat at home for him.
