As soon as MGA died (May of 1908), the Ahmadiyya editing team began changing his year of birth. In the Review of religions for June 1908 (english)(see pages 235-238), they began trying to backdate MGA’s year of birth, since they knew that MGA died abruptly and failed his famous prophecy that he would live 40 additional years after 1891-1892, just like it was prophecied in the hadith in terms of the Messiah, (see Nishan asmani {1892}, page 14–17).

In Oct of 1908, Ahmadiyya editors purposely edited (and added to) Braheen-e-Ahmadiyya Vol-5 as they were desperately trying to make MGA look older so as to fulfill the “age-prophecy”, they then published it in October of 1908. BA5 was never written by MGA, it was his editors who inserted the information in BA5 trying to show that MGA was 70 by 1905 (in fact, Dard, in his famous biography of MGA writes that the BA5 was written in 1905, which is a lie). Furthermore, they also inserted the part wherein MGA claims “5 years more or less of 80″. Thus, they created a window of age from 74 to 85.

The Khalifa wrote exactly this in 1916 in his short autobiography on his father’s life.

Nuzul ul Masih was published in 1909, and the lies continued.

After the split of 1914, Muhammad Ali wrote a book (1918) about MGA and continued to write that MGA was born in either 1839 or 1840.

The Moslem Sunrise used 1837 and later 1836 and finally 1835 after 1946.

1887-1891

It should be noted that this quotation is an announcement about the Promised Son and seems to be from 1887, although Ahmadi editors claim that it is from 1888 (see Izala Auham, online urdu edition). This quotation is problematic in many ways. Firstly, it shows that MGA’s god was telling MGA that he was Esa (as) the son of Mary as early as 1887. Secondly, there is a specific arabic revelation of MGA at the very bottom which uses the quranic phraseology “Qareebun”, which means “near to”. However, the english translations of 1976, 2004, 2006 and 2018 don’t properly translate “Qareebun” as “close-to”, instead they purposely mistranslate it as “thereabouts”, thus, giving an english reader the impression that MGA’s revelation meant 5 or 6 years more or less from 80, which is ridiculous. Finally, see 2:186, Allah is near, there are many examples like this in the Quran. See also 4:7, 90:15, 26:214, 56:11, 17:32 and many many others.

“””This is God’s grace and it appears strange in your eyes. We shall soon show you Our Signs in
your own selves and also around you. Proof will be established and the victory will be clear. Do
they say: ‘We are a large party?’ All of them will be routed and shall turn their backs. Even if people desert you I shall not desert you; if people do not safeguard you, I shall safeguard you. I shall exhibit My flash and shall exalt you as a demonstration of My Power. Peace on you, O Ibrahim [Abraham], We have chosen you with sincere friendship. God will set all your affairs right and will bestow upon you all that you might desire. You are to Me like My Unity and My Uniqueness. Allah is not the one to leave you till He has separated the impure from the pure. He will raise your status and will increase your progeny and thereafter you alone will be considered the progenitor of your family. I shall make you famous with honour to the ends of the earth and shall exalt your name and shall put your love in the hearts of the people.

–[Arabic] We have made you Masih Ibne-Maryam [Messiah, son of Mary].

–[Urdu] Tell them: I have come in the footsteps of Jesus. They will say: ‘We have not heard any such thing from our ancestors’ Respond to them that: Your knowledge is limited; God knows
best. You are content with the letter and obscurity. The true reality has not been disclosed to you. He who realises that the foundation of the Ka‘bah was a design of divine wisdom is very wise, for he has partaken of the mysteries of the universe. One of high resolve will be born. He will be like you in beauty and benevolence. He will be of your progeny.

–[Persian] [Son, delight of the heart, high ranking, noble;]

–[Arabic] [A manifestation of the True and the High, as if Allah had descended from heaven. You will pass through different periods with different companions and will behold distant progeny. We shall bestow upon you a good life; eighty years or thereabouts.””

It is evident from Brahin-e-Ahmadiyya that I was commissioned to revive the faith at the age of forty, about eleven years ago.””

Mirza Khuda Bakhsh is well-known for writing, Asl-e-Musaffa (Vol. 1)(published in 1901) and Asl-e-Musaffa (Vol. 2)(both of these books compromised 1400 pages, it was published during the life of MGA), which contain details about the advent of MGA and the prophecies and signs that MGA claimed for himself. Interestingly, in this book, it is clearly written how MGA was born in 1839/1840, later on, when MGA died early, Ahmadiyya editors went back and changed MGA’s year of birth to 1835.

Some commentary first
This quote is short, we need to see the full context, Ahmadiyya sources refuse to show the full quote. Thus, we assume that this only means that MGA was constantly lying about his age.

“As far as this question is concerned that he [i.e. the Promised Messiahas] will die after or before every enemy of his will be annihilated, it has been answered in the negative by Mirza Sahib in his Risala al-Wasiyyat. It means, he has stated that his death is expected around the age of 80 years or thereabouts and he has probably crossed all of its steps already.”

Meaning that, blessing was extended to three organs—eyes and two others, which have not been specified.

Al-Hakam and Al-Badr of Nov-10-1907
https://www.youtube.com/live/DfhILeVkb64?si=h6L7lWDlIFKOWrlT

On Nov-10-1907, MGA and his team of writers published an announcement in the Al-Hakam and Al-Badr of Nov-10-1907 (See the scans in the below)(Via Majmua Ishtiharat, V-3, pages 461-467). Bro Imtiaz explained it in full detail herein (1:19:40). This announcement is about Maulvi Sanaullah, the death of Mirza Mubarak Ahmad and a new promised son (Musleh Maud?) and how local newspaper like the Akhbar-e-Aam and others are saying that MGA’s prophecies failed and biggest sign is the death of MGA’s 7 years old son, Mirza Mubarak Ahmad.

In this announcement, MGA says that people are showing happiness at the death of Mirza Mubarak Ahmad. MGA says that people are saying that the death of Mirza Mubarak Ahmad is a sign that MGA lost a Mubahila (with Abdul Hakim Patialvi and Maulvi Sanaullah). MGA and his team of writers tell a bold face lie and allege that MGA has tried to make the children of his opponents as signs of truth (1:22:09). However, this is a lie, in Jan-1907, a Muslim opponent of MGA named Saadullah died and MGA had prophecied that he not have children. In 1906-1907, via “Haqiqatul Wahi”, MGA mentions Abdul-Haqq Ghaznavi 6 times (see pages 306-307). MGA specifically under sign #92, and sign #159 (page 444). MGA alleges that Maulawi Abdul Haqq Ghaznavi had no children and thus lost the Mubahila (see page 445). MGA alleged that Maulawi Abdul Haqq Ghaznavi‘s brother died and he married the widow and she is now pregnant. MGA argues that in contrast, he was given 4 sons and hundreds of thousands of rupees (page 551).

Also in this announcement, MGA alleges that he knew 2-3 years ago (1904-1905 era)(Kayn Burse) that Mirza Mubarak Ahmad would die young (1:25:09). MGA then alleges that he has already announced that this child would not survive. MGA also alleges that when his God told him that Mirza Mubarak Ahmad would die, MGA’s God also said that those will be bitter days in his life (like sad and shameful)(1:26:18). MGA alleges, besides these, there were many additional revelations which were explicit/clear/open about the impending death of Mirza Mubarak Ahmad. MGA alleges that many years ago he predicted the death of Mirza Mubarak Ahmad in newspapers like Al-Badr and Al-Hakam. These prophecies were clear and without a shadow of doubt that Mirza Mubarak Ahmad would not reach the age of adulthood and would die as a minor (it was destined, muqarram).

Also in this announcement, MGA alleges (via Bro Imtiaz, 2:31:52) that when Mirza Mubarak Ahmad died (9-16-1907), MGA’s god sent him another fresh revelation about a boy who will be just like Mirza Mubarak Ahmad, a replica. This was because MGA’s God didn’t want his enemies to be happy, and it will be as-if Mirza Mubarak Ahmad never died. However, MGA died himself about 8 months later. MGA then says that his God will make his children a very powerful people (2:39:10).

Also in this announcement, MGA mentions the prophecy vs. Dr. Abdul-Hakim Khan (from Patiala)(via Bro Imtiaz, 2:42:29) and how it started in July 1907 and was for 14 months (scheduled to end in Sep-1908). MGA says that his life will be prolonged, and he will win (see the “Age Prophecy“). MGA told Ahmadi’s to memorize and print this announcement (2:49:37) and post it on their walls. MGA also says that he knows the deaths of his close relatives (bahot qareeb mutalaqeen 2:52:34) is nearing.

Rather, in some other newspapers, this incident has been shown with a lot of force, and it has been painted as if it proves that one of them is victorious in the fight. We do not want to write more in this place because God Almighty is sufficient to punish falsehood.

It should be clear that I have not entered into such a relationship with anyone that would make the children of another party false in such a way that if the son of that party dies, he will remain a liar, but I always want him to be the same. [Arabic] [I have lived a whole lifetime among you before this, then do you not understand?]

This was an indication on behalf of God the All-Knowing, that no opponent of mine would be able to point to any default in my life.  Accordingly, up till now, when I am about sixty-five years of age, no one, whether living close to me or far from me, can point to any stain in my past life. Indeed God Himself has made my opponents bear witness to the purity of my past life. For instance, Maulavi Muhammad Husain has, on many occasions, praised me and the members of my family in his journal Isha’atus-Sunnah and has claimed that no one is better acquainted with me and my family than him. Then, to the extent that he understood, he praised me. In this way an opponent, who became the originator of my condemnation as a non-believer, has confirmed the truth of this prophecy [I have lived among you…].

We found yet another rare book in the history of Ahmadiyya. This one comes from the Lahori-Ahmadi’s. This specific book is called, “Mirza Ghulam Ahmad, the man” by Muhammad Yakub Khan (1924). The second edition of the book seems to have been published in 1949, a few other editions were published thereafter, the Lahori-Ahmadi’s have put this book on their official website, feel free to compare and contrast. In all editions of this book, it is clearly written that MGA was born in 1839.

The Khalifa, Mirza Basheer ud Din Mahmud Ahmad writes a book, “Ahmad, The Messenger of the Latter Days”, Part-1, by Mirza Basheer ud Din Mahmud Ahmad (1924). In this book, he writes that MGA was born in 1836, however, he quotes the Punjab Chiefs of 1909, wherein it is written that MGA was born in 1839.

“Zikr-e-Habib” by Mufti Muhammad Sadiq (1926)

Mufti Muhammad Sadiq’s book, Zikr-e-Habib is published, in this book, he argues that MGA was born on a Friday, in the month of Phalugna. Sadiq argued that MGA had personally told him that he was born in the Punjabee month of Phalguna, on a Friday, on the 14th night of the moon.  However,  the Punjabi month (and we know Phalguna always starts from 13 February and ends at 13 March. Second, Date of Islamic month was 14 and Day was Friday.

The quote
“This humble one was born in the month of Phalugna on a Friday on the 14th night of the moon” [Zikr-e-habib by Mufti Muhammad Sadiq Sahib pages 238 & 239]

The 2nd Quarter 1946 edition
See page 5
vol_18_1946.tif (muslimsunrise.com)

Ahmadi missionaries (specifically Sufi Muti-ur-Rahman Bengali and Khalil Ahmad Nasir) continued to write 1836 as the birth year of MGA, they wrote this in almost every single issue. The reason it needed to be written was as follows, in the format of the magazine, first they quote the quran, then Muhammad, then MGA. When they wrote his name, they also wrote 1836-1908, thus it is easy to figure out (wink wink).

_____________________________________________________________________________________________1946
The 3rd quarter of 1946 edition changed it to 1835

You will see that as soon as new murrabi’s came from India, the date changed to 1835 (see page 5)(Khalil Ahmad Nasir was relieving Sufi Muti-ur-Rahman Bengali).
