Intro
Per #Ahmadiyya sources, the Ahmadiyya jamaat was established in 1986 (see the ref in the below). In 2022, we estimate that there are 1300 Ahmadi’s living Thailand, mostly asylum seekers. Uung Kurnia Fazl Ahmad, is the Amir and missionary-in-charge. Ever since roughly 2014, Ahmadi refugees have came into Thailand by the hundreds, they all seem to be stuck and living in the worst conditions. The same situation exists in Malaysia, which is close by. The first ever Jalsa was held in 2001. In 2008, it was reported by Ahmadiyya sources that Uung Kurnia was the Amir and missionary-in-charge, it is unclear where and when he went to Jamia for formal training. In 2016-2017, Pakistani Christians who were also on asylum in Thailand begin clashing with the Ahmadiyya Movement. They accuse the Ahmadiyya Movement of faking asylum to go to the West. By 2021, we estimate there to be 1000 Ahmadi’s in Thailand, there aren’t any Ahmadi mosque’s, and only one mission house. The majority of which are Ahmadi refugees on asylum. Read about how Humanity First Canada has been implicated in the Ahmdi refugee asylum scandal in Thailand.

The Ahmadiyya jamaat is established, this seems to mean that there is at least one Ahmadi in the country.

At a Jalsa in Singapore or Malaysia, Uung Kurnia (the Amir and missionary-in-charge) showed up with Muallim Jumakhan, Hafia Imran Ahmad (the general secretary of the Thailand jamaat) and their wives met the Khalifa and took photos.

The formal opening of Jalsa Salana was held on 10 March. This day comprised of two sessions, pre-lunch and post-lunch sessions. In total, 13 speeches were delivered on a variety of topics, such as Wasiyyat, Khilafat, taqwa, family life, the Holy Quran, social manners and the need for the Imam.

Ahmadiyya refugees keep getting persecuted and financially exploited by the Ahmadiyya Movement.

In 2022, the Ahmadiyya Movement at Thailand held its 4th annual Ansar and Khuddam Ijtema, many Pakistani’s can be seen, no native people from Thailand however. Since there is no Ahmadiyya temple, they were forced to rent a hall somewhere. Barely 50 men can be spotted, if we add another 60 for women and children, and the benefit of the doubt, there are roughly 200 Pakistani-Ahmadi’s stuck in Thailand in 2022.
