Intro
In the below, we have posted a historical book from the Qadiani-Ahmadi’s, published on May 27, 1914 at the Allah Bakhsh printing press at Qadian. This was barely 2 months after the split. In this, the Qadiani-Ahmadi’s were arguing that Mirza Basheer ud Din Mahmud Ahmad was in-fact the Musleh Maud. This was written by Professor Muhammad Ismael, who seemed to be a teacher at the Ahmadiyya Jamia at Qadian in 1914. He was from Halalpur, India. He seems to be the only Ahmadi from Halalpur, India, which is close to Delhi. Per Qadiani-Ahmadi sources, The first Principal of Jami’a Ahmadiyya was Maulana Syed Sarwar Shah Sahib. Teaching staff
consisted of towering personalities like Hafiz Roshan Ali , Maulvi Ismail Sahib Halalpuri and Mir
Mohammad Ishaq (MGA’s brother-in-law)(See Devotion of Life, page 160).

After MGA died, in June-July of 1908, MGA’s son, Mirza Basheer ud Din Mahmud Ahmad writes in his magazine that the “Promised-Son” doesn’t have to necessarily be a biological son of MGA. After Mirza Basheer ud Din Mahmud Ahmad became Khalifa (march 1914), his writers and editors began to write articles in the English ROR claiming that Mirza Basheer ud Din Mahmud Ahmad was the Musleh Maud. Mirza Basheer ud Din Mahmud Ahmad remained quiet however. The Lahori-Ahmadi’s seem to have also wrote about the “Promised Son” prophecy in 1914-1915 via their leader, Muhammad Ali, this book is still missing. From 1915 to 1943, everyone went silent on the “Musleh Maud” prophecy. In January of 1944, during WW-2, Mirza Basheer ud Din finally made the public claim of Musleh Maud, . This went un-challenged by Muhammad Ali and the Lahori-Ahmadi’s, in other words, they never responded to it. Later on, he called special meetings of the Community to re affirm this fact (see Al-Fazl, 1st February, 1944 also via “Truth Prevails” by Qazi Muhammad Nazeer). He made the claim of #muslehmaud at Sheikh Bashir Ahmed Sahib’s bungalow, situated at Temple Road, Lahore. After that, he gave a speech in the Jalsa at Masjid Aqsa, Qadian. Speeches by the Khalifa were then held in the following places: Hoshiarpur: on February 20, 1944, Lahore: on March 12, 1944, Ludhiana: on March 23, 1944 and Delhi: on April 16, 1944. About 1000 miles away, the battle of Imphal was raging, it was unclear as to who would win. The Japanese had their eye on India. By mid-1944, the Allied air forces enjoyed undisputed air supremacy over Burma. The last major effort by the Japanese Army Air Force had been over the Arakan in February and March, when they had suffered severe losses. During the Imphal and Kohima battles, they were able to make barely half a dozen significant raids. 20 years later, in 1965, A few months before Mirza Basheer ud Din Mahmud Ahmad died, and 10+ years after Muhammad Ali had died, the Lahori-Ahmadi’s finally responded in “Truth Triumphs” by Mumtaz Ahmad Faruqi. They exposed the suffering  and mental anguish of Mirza Basheer ud Din Mahmud Ahmad, which lasted 10-15 years before his death. They proved how he was not the Musleh Maud and how the prophecy either died with Mirza Mubarak Ahmad, or was mis-interpreted. However, the appendix has been deleted by the Lahori-Ahmadi’s, since it was embarrassing. About a year later, the Qadiani-Ahmadi’s responded with “Truth Prevails”, which was ordered by Mirza Nasir Ahmad via Qazi Muhammad Nazeer, it was published on 10-4-1966 (See page xiv).

The Musleh Maud prophecy—crash course

In the 1880’s, after MGA’s second marriage and his claim to receive Quranic revelations as his own, he also prophesied the birth of a son who would carry on his legacy. Ironically, he already had 2 fully grown adult sons, who he barely he even spoke to, he even boycotted their funeral. Nevertheless, in the early part of 1886, he publicized the prophecy. A few months later, a girl was born to him, she ended up dying of cholera just 5 years later, MGA had published an announcement just a week before her birth wherein he totally backpeddled, he assume that the girl as already born in MGA’s house and he was now egregiously lying. What’s interesting here is that MGA had guaranteed a son from that pregnancy, he was now walking-back that prediction. In 1887, Bashir-1 was born, MGA began to celebrate. Per Ahmadiyya records, Bashir-1 was born on August 7th, 1887, the very next day, MGA’s announcement of August 8th, 1887 was published, in this announcement, MGA claimed that Bashir-1 was the promised son, unequivocally. On July 15, 1888, MGA published an announcement wherein he stated that he would be bestowed another son (in addition to the Promised Son) whose name would be Mahmud. In November of 1888, Bashir-1 dies and MGA writes the famous “Green Announcement” wherein he argues that prophets makes mistakes in figuring out their ilham’s all the time, ironically, MGA hadn’t claimed propehthood at this point in time. In January of 1889, Mirza Basheer ud Din Mahmud Ahmad is born. MGA then goes quiet on this prophecy until 1897 in Anjam e Athim, wherein he seems to indicate that Mirza Mubarak Ahmad is the Musleh Maud, since he has turned 3 sons into 4. The same arguments are given in Tiryaq ul Qulub which was written in 1899 and published in 1902, in the 1950’s, the Lahori-Ahmadi’s would point this out emphatically, whereas the Qadiani-Ahmadi’s have refused to even comment. MGA went silent again until 1907, when Mirza Mubarak Ahmad died (at age 7-8 years old). At that point, MGA claimed that his God would given him another son in-place of Mirza Mubarak Ahmad. After MGA died, in June-July of 1908, MGA’s son, Mirza Basheer ud Din Mahmud Ahmad writes in his magazine that the “Promised-Son” doesn’t have to necessarily be a biological son of MGA.
